Do you think he cares that people are beginning to realise that the emperor never had any clothes or is he just laughing all the way to the bank?
Do you think he cares that people are beginning to realise that the emperor never had any clothes or is he just...
Hates the audience makes garbage flix
i mean we knew he was shit after TDKR and suspicion was already mounting when he accepted a capeshit film anyway.
>laughing all the way do the bank
you mean how his insistence on releasing Tenet in theaters during a pandemic single-handedly destroyed the entire industry?
i’m sure he cares what retards think of him online as he’s rolling in his 200m net worth pile of money
I dunno. He made his fuck you money a while ago. Now it is about leaving a legacy and in interviews he genuinely seems to believe he is hot shit and should be remembered alongside your Hitchcocks and Kubricks. It is adorable.
well if he keeps making shitty movies from now on people will always remember dark knight and inception i think
Unfortunately the vast majority of numales and redditors think he's a genius
I've genuinely never fully enjoyed any of his movies. His best to me are Memento and Dunkirk, and I'd only rate them a 3.5/5 at most
>emperor
Hes a talented director that makes enjoyable flicks for midwits. No one thinks hes some kind of transcendent genius.
this. he’s just michael bay with a few extra steps, which isn’t a bad thing because they’re both good at what they do
>No one thinks hes some kind of transcendent genius
You're wrong
>single-handedly destroyed the entire industry?
How? You have to give him that it was ballsy. he took the risk and failed miserably, but it could have been a massive success. Turns out people don't won't to risk their lives to watch hollywood flicks. Wht would have changed if he didn't release tenet? The theaters wold be still closed or have low attendence.
If he wanted to leave a legacy, he shouldn't have gone WOKE. Nobody will remember losers like JJ Abrams for making loud big budget woke crap.
>this. he’s just michael bay with a few extra steps, which isn’t a bad thing because they’re both good at what they do
KEK, he has nothing to do with Michael Bay, who is bottom of the barel shlock maker.
JJ has never made a good movie
>Where are you ,a nons? Why did you fail us?
>Hating on Nolan
cringe, he's the best modern director and he has never made a single bad film.
>should be remembered alongside your Hitchcocks and Kubricks.
Yes
Michael Bay at least has the dignity and self-awareness to know what he is.
Nolan fully believes his own hype.
Based, OP btfo
TDKR was shit, Baneposting not withstanding.
One of the last directors with original ideas.
Saw Tenet yesteday. Unbelievably boring. Never cared less for a movie since Dunkirk. Nolan is fucking finished. Inception and Interstellar were decent, but guy's completely lost it.
Crazy what happens to the minds of millennials when they consoom so much media. A film with shit going backwards and forwards at same time doesn't impress them. Truly sad.
>quentin tarantino rates dunkirk as the 2nd best film of the 2010s
> le based Zig Forums posters think they know better
You seriously believe this? He is dancing to the tune of "YOU'RE THE INCEPTION GUY! DO THE INCEPTION THING AGAIN!" from a bunch of coked-up Warner Bros producers. Nolan is a slut.
Western movie world is out of ideas, i'm not saying anything new here. Nolan is obviously not.
Who cares what an has been twat that only made two good movies and the rest a bunch of homage garbage has to say.
TDKR is an epic play in the style of macbeth. you got filtered by the "cheesiness".
>YOU'RE THE INCEPTION
lol, why no the Dark knight guy? if he was a pawn he would still be making capeshit today but he got his card with TDKR and now he makes what ge wants and it's always kino
Nolan hasn't been kino since memento. He got a whiff of the dosh which is fine, but that doesn't make him great. It's like saying zimmer is a great composer. They're great at producing shit that'll make the mainstream viewer think they're an intellectual for seeing it.
No one thinks tehy are smart for liking Nolan, but plenty of people seem to think they are smart for hating on Nolan.
Nolan accroding to many critics "Blurrs the line between blockbuster and art".
