Chibnall is so fucking boring to talk about.
There's nothing interesting to praise or critique, it's the blandest, most formulaic, design-by-committee shit ever.

If this board wasn't anonymous I'd probably get shit for Moff-hate but the fact is Moffat is interesting to talk about it. When he's bad, he's interestingly bad. When I think he's bad, I'm usually frustrated and annoyed because he had potential to be great - you can see the seed of great ideas underneath the cringey shit. I'm sure RTD critics would say the same. RTD and Moff both had vision, imagination, creativity - a unique artistic voice and style. You can dig under the surface to discuss and critique the narrative structures they employ, the characterisation and development of the Doctor and his companions, the themes they're interested in and how well they deliver on them.

What the fuck is Chibnall's vision except tickbox diversity? What themes is he interested in other than "heroic woman is always right and good because I wrote people saying she was"? In what way can you even call the companions characters at all? They're just props for Whitaker to expound at.

I'd take a dozen burning generals, a dozen RTD vs Moff showrunner wars, a dozen screeching autists declaring yet another thread dead because someone disagreed with them over a single fucking post wasting time and breath and energy on that talentless, mediocre, tedious, fat-faced hack.

Normal Davros is cursed.

I wish I lived in a time where there were just like 6 or 7 Doctor Whos, before it went to shit, instead of like 478 Doctors and now he's like 2500 years old and River is everywhere and BF are retconning shit here there and everywhere and there's endless Time War nonsense and Daleks for the 4838th time this month and there are 13 Doctors plus 2 secret ones and the Doctor isn't actually Gallifreyan anymore and the Master has 432 incarnations now.

Classic Who felt so fucking comfy, and old clips and interviews kind of remind me of how 'straight forward' and much more 'mentally manageable' it all was, if that makes sense. Just an eccentric hero having relatively 'simple' teatime adventures of the week. No bombastic arcs and 47 spin off ranges and 38 crossover events and 27 new backstories and stuff we're lumbered with now.

Take me back to simpler, comfier Dr Who bros.

The daleks were scary

Nilso was straight

The worst thing Chibnall ever did was getting the phrase 'Ranskoor av Kolos' embedded in my brain. It's a horrid jumble os syllables, but I remember the name of every Doctor Who episode so I can't get it out.

>The BBC are 'currently planning' to show the Doctor Who festive special on Christmas Day.

>A source told TVZoneUK.com that the BBC is hoping it will provide some much needed escapism over the festive period, and they're "currently planning" to air the special on Christmas Day, but a final decision is yet to be made.

>a "source" told a random website
ok then, i'll wait and see

>Dr Who special to air on one of two days we knew it would

The show may or may not return
One of the two

This year the show will have the Fiat Islam holiday special and will be set in Birmingham

we need to have BF's photoshop privileges revoked

just a thought - Revolution will hold the record for longest gap between making Dr Who and airing Dr Who. It was made in like October 2019, and wont air til at least December 2020. I hope they didnt fill it with horrific references that would severely date it...

4anon, you here?

Attached: adleela.jpg (728x560, 39.46K)

If there's one writer that won't throw in references that'll date the show, it's Chris Chibnall.
