I always find it mindblowing that no one, especially nowadays talks about his connection with the CIA and the fact he was almost certainly connected to MKULTRA. There's definitely more to the story there that likely explains his path. Heartbreaking stuff, really. Reading into his later years and discovering he went schizoid really made me feel for him and then finally pick myself up and seek help. Fascinating man.
