It's fine with some good performances, but overrated. Repeats material from earlier shitty entries (Logan's been taken in by friendly farmhouse folks, what's gonna happen?!), the swearing and violence are occasionally funny but feel like such a forced attempt at seeming mature, the continuity with the rest of the series is terrible, and one of the daftest things a filmmaker can do is constantly remind the audience of a classic film that they're borrowing from.
But yeah, it's ok.

Character stuff was great. Unfortunately that relies on seventeen years of films setting it up. The plot itself is atrocious and horribly presented. The final act in particular is hard to sit through and may as well be skipped, or at least fast forwarded to the ending. Boyd Holbrook was a surprise. Donald Pierce is largely wasted, but the few scenes he gets he steals the show.
iPhone exposition and Evil Scientist Man almost ruin the film.
