I'm 31, I'm not married and don't plan on sleeping on a queen/king bed regularly until I am married.

I own my own house and have a master bedroom with a queen bed which we use when she stays over so I don't get what's the big deal.

When she isn't over its not like she can see me sleep so I don't understand why she is so bothered by the main bedroom I sleep in. it just has a wooden single size bed, wooden desk, wooden chair , bedside table and my old MacBook and some plants for decor.

I just use it for convenience since it's closest to the main areas of my house I hang out like my study where my computer is and the lounge/kitchen

I sleep on the floor with just a blanket. Getting rid of a bed and mattress was the best thing I ever did.

Dated a girl in college who had a single bed. I didn't even know they existed. I thought double or full were the smallest. Not only was it a single, but it was a hide-a-bed that pulled out of chair, so the mattress was really thin. Basically all normal people view having a large bed as more desirable than a small bed, and would never even consider sleeping in a smaller bed than the largest one they own.

Your GF probably assumes you have some weird psychological baggage compelling you to sleep in what amounts to kid's room/guest room in your own home instead of using the master bedroom. And she's probably right, you sound pretty crazy.
