I suspect most people on Zig Forums are incapable of not focusing on a film or show when it's on. I know lots of people who will work or read with the tv on as background noise, and consider that to be watching tv. For me, however, if something is on I can't help but give it my full attention. Average viewers' minds will wander when they go to see a movie, thinking back to what's going on in their real life.
