It's so refreshing to see some high concept science fiction. First episodes were absolutely god tier.

World building is amazing
>giant holes and bones from extinct? leviathans
>androids programmed to raise children as atheists
>SPACE CRUSADERS aesthetic
>praise Sol!
>flashbacks to a BRUTAL earth ravaged by desperate wars between 2 factions that are brutal in their own ways, child soldiers, religious fanaticism up the ass

Inject this shit straight into my veins, finally something other than capeshit that dares to explore interesting concepts.

Also Father is best character

the planet and those swords also look like the post-apocalyptic game Kenshi, which also has religious fanatic soldiers running around a desert fighting robots

I agree. Finally something that isnt adaptation of a comic book franchise.

I actually didn't look it up but this isn't based on anything, no book, no nothing, and it still manages to fuck the face of most science fiction shit that I read.

I LOVE YOU, CAMPION, PAUL AND FURFUR!

>high concept proceeds to describe the most cookie cutter setting imaginable
lmao shill be desperate

It's so refreshing seeing dead niggers

Fuck the jannies and fuck pedomod

>so Mike, today you wanted to talk to me about Raised by Wolves
>insert stupid reference to the fact that Riddley Scott is a dumbass for insisting Deckard was a Replicant in the original bladerunner
>20 minutes of nitpicking and jokes about the cum blood
>Mike: In conclusion, I recommend Raised by Wolves! but nobody will watch it because it isn't capeshit

i love the father robot, wish mother wouldn't exist and the whole show was just comfy building and farming with no conflict. but ofc it's gay hollywood shit and there has to be violence every 20minutes.

>more grey amoral drama-fi with asshole characters
>refreshing
>capeshit dare to explore interesting concepts
Fuck off, nu-teen

I don't think you know what high-concept means, it means there's a premise that draws people, like what if dinosaurs were real for Jurrasic Park

how is it amoral when you have a literal conflict of beliefs and campion who doesn't want to kill things even for food, and people questioning the very nature of AI life

I unironically agree, like a 70s family show but the head of the family is Father and the crusaders are just the neighbours who interact with them occasionally

Where would that story go tho? I mean I'd like them to be all happy and friends and for humanity to survive but the show must be about something more or it wouldn't be interesting past the first episode

swing and a miss

high concept just means the film has an easily summarizable concept. you can basically pitch the movie in one short sentence. movies like lord of the rings are not high concept, but movies like harry potter are "what if wizards lived among us in secret"

Could be like a Little House on the Prairie but in space. Either way I love the show. The one of the things that bug me is that apparently they might be the last of human species yet they kill each other every episode like it's nothing.

What makes it refreshing is not that everyone is bad. To the contrary, all characters are victims of circumstances and have to learn how to find a a compromise between their professed beliefs and survival.

I've not seen a single episode of this show.
Is it really just CHRISTIANITY BAD like Zig Forums is memeing or is there more to it?

I was almost sold till I saw the trailer and the god awful CGI.

There is no reference to christianity in this show
There is religion but it doesn't say bad or good either

>trusting tv opinions
>ever

Christianity was toppled by Mithraism.
Atheists and Mithraists are both radicals.

>>SPACE CRUSADERS

Wait! Wut?

Religious zealots are always the most kino faction in anything

Shut the fuck up, retard. There's like what, one or two other good sci-fi shows on air? This is high-budget with a really interesting setting and sympathetic characters. Do you want everyone to be neatly sorted into "good" and "evil" buckets or something?

You probably just hate everything.

i love that some fandoms are obscure enough to never be touched by big studios

the trailer looks like dogshit yes, but the actual show is worth watching

it could be like a kids show, you know those shows from the 80s that taught the kids basic lessons about morality, jealousy etc.

>This is high-budget with a really interesting setting and sympathetic characters.
Big yawn
>Do you want everyone to be neatly sorted into "good" and "evil" buckets or something?
nope, capeshitter
>You probably just hate everything.
You probably just love everything

It could also be epic as fuck
Hollywood doesn't have the monopoly on violence. Classic epics and fairytales are violent as fuck

I swear to god, if i waste time pirating this shit and it's not worth it, i hope OP's mom gets it.

come back in 60 minutes to thank me once you see the first episode, fucker

>doesn't like show with morally gray characters
>doesn't like shows with black and white morality characters
I was really on the money then, you just hate everything. You should take a break from this website.

dude travis fimmel is good in everything he does.

I fucking hope so. The moment 40K reaches the mainstream it dies completely. GW is doing all they can to get it there too. I figure it's only a matter of time.
