How do you watch your televison & film?
I literally use VLC to watch 1080p YIFI releases as it is literally fine no matter what Zig Forums says and saves alot of space on your hdd.

i only have a 60G HDD and con only store 2 1080p movies max
MPC-HC with madVR and rarbg
OP is a faggot as usual
VLC is even good enough nowadays for 10bit 4k HDR+ content
can't even imagine what kind of people waste money on fucking PowerDVD
>MPC-HC
better but more finicky, i will always just install VLC on other peoples system
same.
mpv for anime though
Christ, bro, you can buy a tb hard drive for like $50
I've only got a 128GB SSD so I can only store about 2 or 3 movies before I'm running out of space. I get unlimited internet so I just delete a movie when I'm done with it.
what year is it?
I just execute 'mpv *.mkv' in the dir of the show's season i want to watch
Tried to use the default windows media player by accident and it wanted me to pay for codecs. Like gtfo of here with that shit nigger
I only watch remuxes
Don't use VLC, the colors are bad. I did a side-by-side comparison with other players and saw it myself.
It's okay as long as you watch movies on a television. Don't copy the losers from Zig Forums or Zig Forums who watch shows on a PC lmao
based
i do the same
>MPC-HC with madVR
I have the same player, it runs HDR content perfectly but I'm worried both have been discontinued for some time now. Whatever next technology comes up won't be supported.
What's the future patrician player?
>NVIDIA Shield Pro to Projector for SD/HD
>LG CX for 4K HDR
Software-wise? MPC-HC w/ madVR.
Same + a shitty laptop + $5 earbuds.
>VLC is even good enough nowadays for 10bit 4k HDR+ content
I always get bizarre stuttering and no amount of setting changes solved it whereas it's perfect on MPC-HC madVR. Also .
Holy based
Sounds like you're based. I've literally downloaded thousands of movies over about 5 years but I just delete them after I watch them. I kind of regret it because I would have a huge collection by now but I feel like I would never watch 90% of them ever again
>2020
>not using mpv
I ditched VLC like 3 months ago and MPV is the fucking bomb. The subtitles navigation, shortcuts all over the keyboard and the level of control it gives are all so satisfying. Such an amazing no bullshit media player, give it a shot guys, it's absolutely worth it
ITT Autism
MPC-HC is GOAT
You only need spacebar.
Pause Kino, Unpause Kino
Can you only add external subs outside of the player via command line? I haven't figured out any way, which is why I use both.
I use rutracker for torrents
Fucking hipsters
Use Notepad like a normal human, wtf?
Using Potplayer for 3 years. And now they decided to show ads. Fucking pathetic.
mpv and plex
>Pause Kino
There a link to an unofficial maintenance build of MPC-HC
>The player is mature, stable, reliable, and already provides a huge amount of features.
>Due to a lack of active developers, the player is currently in maintenance mode. This means that there are no direct plans for adding any big new features. Development is currently limited to small bug fixes and updates. However, external developers can still contribute additional fixes and new functionality. In fact, several people have already helped to give the player some new functionality and other improvements.
for me its mpv rarbg
Just drag the subtitle file into the movie window. It's how i did it on MPC/VLC and how it works on MPV.
The subtitles navigation option that goes to the nearest next subtitle entry instead of having to delay/forward it manually is amazing and I have no idea why others aren't doing it already.
Numbers 0-8 to control image, looping option, pause with space or right mouse button. And a literal console kino for the fags that want that extra inch of freedom. I have a masters degree in software engineering and I have to say, whoever developed MPV is godsent.
Forget the features... This program is absolutely cleared of any extra unnecessary bullshit and it's just the fucking player to play the damn videos, it's amazing something this soulful and kino is still being developed for free.
Ok you convinced me will give it a try for my kino
