People who are famous for decades have so much money for so long that they go a bit crazy, or at least become a bit detached. Their feet haven't touched the ground in years.
They can't go anywhere normal without people harrassing them for autographs or just gushing over them.
They have the money to self isolate in giant mansions and get whatever they want delivered to their home or installed into their home, and staff/assisstants to do stuff for them.
They have this surreal bubble prison of money and obsession, and when they turn on the TV or look at a shelf of DVDs round someone elses home, they see their own face being beamed at them.

It's no wonder so many of them go too far with surgery and whacky shit like scientology. They either get way too focused on hollow garbage like reputation/persona, and try cling desperately to their career peak and income - or they lose all direction/grounding and float away.

It's not terrible. But it isn't amazing. Yet due to his millions, he can spend tens of thousands on paint and he has a big space to display his canvasses which are only really his fun spare time killing activity. It's harmless but it illustrates the fame situation where they can do whatever they want, and you can imagine how it can end up turning negative for a lot of celebrities.

Why this man seems so disturbed every time I see him? Despite everything he says or does his eyes always look so sad and empty....Jesus. Certain photos are literally unbearable, he looks so depressed in some of them that it seems as if his despair is actually oozing over you just by staring at them

People do this all the time, they subconsciously or even consciously recognize their flaws, but instead of working on them, they just project an image of someone who is the complete opposite. Sort of like how bitches surrounded by drama are always the first to say they hate drama.
