>its a goatse platter

It always reminded me of goatse, was that their intention?

Yeah. What's the problem?

brown onions in sourcream?

its green chives

In the show, Pete talks about how he and Trudy went to a get together where there was little brown onions in the sour cream

why did trudy get so assblasted about him swapping it in when they had two of them? Never made sense to me

Because he bought a gun with it, and I think the implication is that he didn't consult her about which to return. Trudy was a bit of a control freak.

She was a woman

Because that was a GIFT from her Aunt Meredith!

But seriously, in Trudys mind they're starting their lives, being adults, and their wedding gifts are part of that, then Pete goes and trades one for a toy. It doesn't matter if they got two, it was a gift.

I love Mad Men so much bros

kek

how did all the characters avoid the vietnam draft?

Is this from when he dumps Faye? Tragic.

You didn't have to go if you were married I thought. At that point you had to volunteer of your own accord.

formerly chuck's chuck and duck

What would you serve in this anons? Me, I'd do tortilla chips and chorizo queso.

>chad and stacey privileged again

damn

They were all past the prime age of military service and had high paying careers and wives. They want 18 year olds with nothing to lose, not office workers pushing 30.

Whats with that time period and making ceramic plates look like lettuce leafs?

I think it is

Jelly beans in the left half
those little jelly fried eggs in the right
marshmallow fluff in the middle

Faye was the best Don girl

guns aren't toys

lmfao

The only real character that has no explanation is Stan.

He isn't married, he isn't rich, he isn't essential, he has no kids, and I think in regards to the show he's supposed to be young. (in reality he's like the same age as Don)

>jelly fried eggs
wot

Hells Bells Trudy

Based Fayebro.

>people dispute me when I say Pete, Don, Peggy, Joan and Roger are a family
>this whole episode the ad is about families coming together
>ends with this shot

I know what a fried egg is. what's a jelly fried egg

Of course they were a family. Throw Harry in there too even if he was the black sheep more or less.

what I just showed you

Yeah Harry is a cousin, Bert is the grandfather.

Not sure if Ken fits neatly into the dynamic.

Fun fact: the chip and dip was an actual wedding gift to Weiner's mom and dad so it was a precious family heirloom

Only poor fucks and country boys got drafted. Census fucked everything up so all these country boys kept getting drafted. If you had money you just hired a doctor for bone spurs no joke

Ups and downs aside he's closer to Peggy than he is anyone in his actual family
