The third one is a direct sequel to the first one and it does give a pretty conclusive ending for both Freddy and Nancy, go watch that one at least.

2 is overtly homosexual.

i prefer the 3rd movie to the original. and watch wes craven's new nightmare. if you at least see those, you're good. 5 and freddy's dead are trash. part 4 is watchable. 2 is strangely not taking place exactly in the same storyline and breaks some freddy rules. it's okay, though.

I can only recommend 1 and 3. I'll never watch 4-6 ever again.

don't forget part 7 which is wes craven's new nightmare. and freddy vs jason if ya wanna get technical is basically 8

second one is fairly good, also something about the whole atmosphere is just creepy, although the actors are stiff i mean like no actor is trying other than Englund
third is a masterpiece
fourth is corny but its mostly good
havent seen the others cept for new nightmare wich is quite good

Freddy doesn't talk much in 2 and is pretty creepy. I didn't notice the gay shit when I was a kid.

They built a revolving room and had four crewmen slowly spin it while she moved around. They reused it later to film the blood fountain when Johnny Depp was eaten by his bed.

new nightmare was such wasted potential. good concept, terrible execution.
