polygraphs and interrogations are not perfect, sure, but if you're a suspect you will only make your position worse by refusing to talk to the police. its best to just take the opportunity to get your side of the story heard. if it comes down to it, a judge or a jury will not be swayed in your favour to hear that you refused to speak. at best it looks disrespectful but at worst like you have something to hide
