you know, the type with a relaxing soundtrack, nice aesthetics, interesting story but no overly aggressive tone that leaves you with a smooth feeling

I often rewatch pic related in this case

I legitimately think the Ringu movies are comfy, also Lord of the Rings funnily enough

The scene at the end when she jumped destroyed me.

Jurassic Park

Jackie Chan flick or anything martial arts. Edo period/jidaigeki works too. Not even a weaboo there's just something comfy about people resolving conflicts through physical violence.

Conan the Barbarian. I usually find myself watching it when someone close passes away.

3:10 to Yuma. It actually reminds a lot of in that it's action, but so patiently paced that it becomes easy watching. Still think it should have won an Oscar for the soundtrack.

She still is.

I watch specific scenes. The Don Giovanni scene in Amadeus is one. Swan tuning Winslow's voice in Phantom of the Paradise, the atlantean sword scene in Conan, and the cave scene in The 13th Warrior are also favorites. They're almost all musical scenes.

Withnail and I

same, the simplicity of it all makes it super comfy.
