Is Dark City sci-fi? I don't see it on here much
Still relevant after 30 years.
Outland
I liked that Danny devito was the fucking producer
timeless movie
Sunshine was perfect up until the 3rd act
Get out
I liek this thread
this, Gattaca is a classic by now, what people thought of it on release is irrelevant
the ending was rushed, but overall kino. if it was 30 minutes longer is would be classic.

I love that movie
Archive. Released last summer, it's a mix of Ex Machina w Frankenstein among other movies that takes place in a hidden facility in Japan. Beautifully shot, persuasive visual effects, enjoyable movie.
sci-fi pleb filter right here
Gattaca is excellent.
Fun Fact: It was named the most plausible scientific movie (on their list) by NASA.
MOON
I even love the ending. Sunshine's one of my favorite sci fi movies.
You’d think with its star cast this would have gotten more attention but it was a sleeper hit instead. It’s sad because it’s the most faithful Philip K Dick adaptation and no one gave a shit
One of my favorite movies in years and no one fucking saw it.
There was nothing wrong with the 3rd act.
The third act was amazing, Pinbacker was a fitting villain and much better than simply using Searle as their villain or leaving the entire thing up to a human error.
I’ll give it a shot, user. It sounds interesting. Thanks for the rec

I thought it was just okay. The visuals were great but the plot just reminded me of Lovecraft’s short story Color Out of Space and it felt lacking
he worked for it more than anyone else
pretty cool indeed, and props to them for making a movie with an all female cast and not being super obnoxious about it as well.
whats Zig Forums opinion on Arrival? honestly a 9/10 for me.
It devolved into a horror movie in space in the 3rd act. Completely separate from the first 2 acts. If there was a string between all 3 acts that there was going to be horror then ok fine. But the horror element in the 3rd came out of nowhere and it was jarring.
If the 3rd act/entire movie was inner conflict/problem solving/humans vs nature of space then the movie would have been perfect.
But instead we got scary naked man in spaceship chasing
