>yeah 40% of what the item is worth is the best im gonna be able to do

>im taking all the risk, i could be sitting on this for a month, maybe years
>i gotta frame it and put a picture of someone related to it so i can sell it
>my employees can accidentally break it, i gotta account for that risk

>calling expert
>expert says it's worth 1500-3000
>customer wants just 1500 because hes not greedy
>rick: best i can do is 800
how isnt this a scam? guy is asking for lower bet and rick wants to pay only half

I fucking hate this show. Dumb fucks sell dumb shit for a dumb price. Bald manlet calls one of his 3000 friends to verify the value. "oh shit its worth 1000 times more than what I paid, another epic win for the pawnstars"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IF YOU'RE GONNA SELL IT FOR $X YOU SHOULD GIVE ME $X FOR IT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

i wish more people would just say no thanks, i can do better...and walk away...

That's what you get for selling your shit to a pawn shop, rather than somewhere legit

You don't have to sell it. Hell you just got a free appraisal

pawn brokers are generally 1 tier above street criminals.
But they make for entertaining television

>siding with the "i need muh money now because..." niggers
retards, nobody is forcing them to sell it

A pawn shop is for quick cash. That's why most of the shit they deal with is stolen.

Remember they're in Vegas, the customers need money so they can keep their kneecaps

>oh shit its worth 1000 times more than what I paid, another epic win for the pawnstars
Americans, like all anglos, are sociopaths, and get off to the idea of one day swindling their fellow man themselves

They edit those people out.

>Go on show
>Reject any offer
>Now you have free publicity and proof of value

Cue those people who drive 34 hours to sell at this specific pawnshop.

What's a fair price to pay

>Pawn shops only exist in america

dumbass

>I'm going to sell my valuables for a dramatic loss at a pawn brokers

unless you're a junky looking for a quick fix sell it on ebay. E ven if its stolen you're better off selling it on ebay. Those pawn broker fucks will snitch you out.

How are they even in business? Unless you're a junky or computer illiterate why would you deal with them

Anyone got the video of Chumlee and his mates beating the shit out of some random guy?

it's sad that they want their 15 seconds of fame...more so then what their items are actually worth...you should never go to a place like that desperate for money...

prolly true, not good tv, i know i would go there, get him to bring in an expert, find out the items value...make him an offer he would turn down...and then get actual value for it...

i'm referring to the popularity of the show, idiot, not pawn shops in general

I've not seen a single pawn shop in my country. I just looked it up, there is ONE pawn shop in my entire country. Our junkies have to get creative.

Junkies, gambling addicts, thieves, and disinterested descendants who get shit from estates they don't want make pawn shops all of their money. You don't go into the business because you're a moral person.

UK also has popular Pawn shows. Stop being a dumbass.

the UK is anglo, retard

moving the goalposts, etc, etc

this shit is a fucking cesspool

literally said anglo

the show is staged, most of the items dont even belong to the supposed sellers and are pre bought by the show runners on ebay so Rick can call some "expert" on early 20th century post stamps and have a 5 minute segment about it. If they had to sit around all day every day and wait for someone to show up who has an interesting item to sell and doesnt just want to sell stolen jewelry for drug money, the show would go bankrupt in the 1st season.

jesus christ, user. you're a retard

>you wanna give me a highly inflated currency for something that appreciates in value and is a one of a kind?
>do you have any gold on hand?

>the show would go bankrupt in the 1st season
If only.

You do realize it's a normal pawn shop, right? And that 99% of their business is done on normal items not shown on the show?

yes, and thats why the show has to be staged because the fucking camera crew and sound guys cant be there on site 12 hours a day waiting for Rick to go "hey come have a look at this guys item"

Oh wait, you're actually retarded? I'm sorry, I should have known.
