kino kino kino KINO
Kino kino kino KINO
dude, for real. it gets better and better with age. i saw this in the theater, and then would take people i knew and make them see it
Yeah I like it. I can see why arthoes love it so much, but aside from that its also just a genuinely well made movie. Cozy too, I love Tokyo at night.
>prime Johansson
Yes please
nah, bill murray being in it makes it cheesy and lame.
i love shoegaze, the 90s, artsy and japanese culture but this is so overrated and its usually an indicator someone is basic if they say this is their favourite film
>bill murray
>scar jo
>sophia cop
>japanese background
>platonic love story
can't get more kino
shut the fuck up, bill murray is at his best. it was made for him.
I've been watching anime since I was a kid, but this is the movie that made me want to visit Japan.
film sort of sucked, it looked nice
No plot. Dire pace.
>"Everyone wants to be found"
>Next to a dinosaur billboard
What did they mean by this?
Bill murray almost ruins the movie for me, everything else about it is based
>Oh no I'm rich and have existential ennui
Garbage movie. Sophia coppola is riding on the coattails of her father, who is the superior film maker in every possible way.
If you like this film, you are either a homosexual, a tranny or Allah help you: a woman
What films does this kino reference? There is a specific vibe it has that I've been desperately looking for. Like existential, but peaceful.
Scarjo's character isn't rich. Also, you didn't get the point about Murray's character.
I'm bisexual, yeah.
Nothing wrong about that.
It has MBV which makes me very happy :)
literally the perfect movie
no overbearing message or anything pretentious about it.
an honest film about jaded souls
Too bad On the Rocks was a pile of unfunny pretentious horseshit
it's a romanticism of depression
ie, it encapsulates the range of positive feelings which are unique to unhappy people
is melancholy the word you're looking for?
let's be real user 'bisexuality' is just having practically no standards about what you'll put your dick in
>Directed by Sofia Coppola
not if you just fuck femboys/traps, i'm basically still straight really
user, I'm just happy I'm not going to die a virgin
based and actualpilled
Jesus, I need to crop pictures I find on the first page of google. How embarrassing.
I liked it. It wasn't an amazing film but the unashamedly corny caper aspects were comfy, jenny slate and the alfa romeo scene were funny, and rashida jones wasn't amazing but she had good chemistry with bill murray. Worst part of the film was probably her awful chemistry with her husband, so i almost read the film as a very very subtle story about how their relationship is ACTUALLY screwed, as the subtext to her thinking it's screwed and projecting her father issues and actually it's going to be fine but actually it's not going to be fine. Just the whole setting with her kids and apartment and life in nyc was extremely comfy also.
why, specifically, was it pretentious?
>Scarjo's character isn't rich
Yes she is
She's the wife of a photographer.
I'm not a big Bill Murray fanboy but without him the movie would be a slow burn whiny art film. He brought life to it and the old guy young female pairing is a classic move. Like Paris, Texas. It's kino.
I simply don't trust him. He and Tom Hanks, everyone loves them, I don't trust those fuckers
I went to Tokyo because of this movie, highly recommend 10/10. Listening to the film soundtrack wandering around Tokyo is a kino life experience everyone should have
