Season 1 is actually one of my favorite shows. It's really good. Season 2 was trash, but season 3 was slightly better.

2 was so bad. There was no plot other than "bad stuff happen again." Season 1 could have been explained by saying that 11's powers created the upside down because she was abused as a kid, and her death sealed it away, but no, in Season 2 we find out that she didn't die, she just fell out of the upside down and hid in the woods for some reason. Then the bad stuff happens again for no reason. It's insanely stupid and bad.

I've only watched the first episode, it's very much a sanitized remember the 80's, for a monster mystery there's 0 gore, it's well shot and acted even if the show is 50% Wynonna Ryder crying, if you like the Goonies and Monster Squad, check it out, if you don't have a boner for everything 80's or want a good sci fi horror it's an easy skip
