His pretentiousness is pretty funny
>we were young and commited and there was nothing we couldnt do
Miller's Crossing or Barton Fink
Thought on this? I think its their most underrated of the lesser known coens

4. Barton Fink
5. The Man Who Wasn't There
Shite fillum
Not best example, but even how he says memoir is pretentious, memwah
This and Serious Man are my favorites of their work.
Unfairly slept on. Everything about it is great, even considering they apparently hammered out the script in 2 weeks because they were suffering writer's block on another script.
This.
There are two simple tiers of Coen Brothers movie, they're either good or bad. Most are good. Burn After Reading is often thought of as one of the bad ones but it's actually among their best. Definitely one of their funniest, and the most underrated by far.
>um... uh... there was a bit of a... uh ... snag
soihumor
How do you prenounce memoir? Meme-oyer?
>Gone are the days when my heart was young and gay, gone are my friends from the cotton fields away, gone from the earth to a better land I know, I hear the gentle voices calling, old black Joe. I'm coming I'm coming, oh my head is bending low, I hear the gentle... the truth my honey is a tart that does not bear scrutiny. Breach my levee at your own peril!
What are the bad coens in your opinion?
I thought hail caesar was weak, i need to rewatch it though

Fargo
>appearances can be deceptive
Does Frances McDormand really expect anyone to believe she looks like that?
No country is maybe the better movie but Faro is the better "Coen" movie, meaning it has more typical Coen quirks.
Burn After Reading is probably their most underrated.
Seen it just once myself, though I remember it fondly.
Nate Cohen
>bad coens
Hail Cesar is their worst, followed by Ladykillers.
Intolerable Cruelty and Hardsucker Proxy are on the boarder between bad and acceptable.
Pitt has got a lot of range
I agree with this except lebowski
but only because I can't be objective because I saw it to try to take my mind off my dog dying that day
