Are women actually impressed by aircraft pilots like catch me if you can (2002)

would have us believe?

they used to be but pilots are glorified bus drivers these days. theres even women pilots now too they fly right alongside the men so what does that tell you

Yes having a respectable job would have gotten you much attention from women primed that their only directive in life is to find a guy with a respectable job. The math is pretty straight forward on this one.

Airline pilots used to be highly respected but then the job became easier and standards were lowered for ''''inclusivity'''' purposes (ie so non-whitemales could shoehorn their way in) and now no one respects them at all any more.

Same as lawyers, doctors, cops, soldiers....

just gotta be yourself

I've never met a pilot who wasn't a chad

Women like winners, user

oh yeah it was his profession they were drooling over and not his looks

Reminder he got away with all of it. He was at 16-20 everything a boy/man his age dreams to be, and he got paid clean cash to do all of it, even if he made some himself. Larped as James Bond, a pilot, a doctor, fucked dimes biweekly, lived in different countries and in the end only repercussion was working for the government as a top notch expert who today is happily married with children and millions in the bank.

Especially women who are already working in the industry. They were dreaming of becoming air hostesses for a reason.

dumb zoomer

Pilot is just a chad career, doesn't matter how good you are or how much you make.
Other chad careers include surgeon, chef and barrister.

>Pressing the "autopilot" and "land" buttons and watching the computer do the work
>Prestige job

most pilots make shit pay

this made me realize why do pilots even wear suits and those retarded hats anymore? a job that easy they should be wearing their pajamas

They were when it was novel and prestigious. It's like astronaut or Wall Street trader, first it's cool and prestigious then losers who saw a movie glorifying it all try to become that and it becomes a job for losers.

What standards were lowered?

omg they're out of the kitchen?!?!?!?!?! how do they make sandwiches in the cockpit! It's a cockpit not a vagoopit amirite or amirite

Lmfao

Standards are sky high now because of terrorism and previous crashes. user is just an obsessed Zig Forumstard that tries to bait idiots in giving him (You)s

They used to be, back in the days when it was their skill and little else keeping you alive. Computers robbed them of most of their glamour.

>a third of private-sector U.S. pilots have military backgrounds. That's down from more than 80 percent in the 1960s
back then veterans were treated better
air travel was expensive and pilots could get free tickets

You usually get there when you're well in your 50s. Those jobs take time and experience, and by then you can't gloat to anybody about it anymore, except maybe with the luggage personnel

you faggots lost touch of reality if you say they dont

I mean i would guess they're still the chads of the airport but i do think it's not as much of a pussy magnet that it was in the 60s and 70s. I imagine a lot of their job now days is just watching the autopilot doing it's job. I don't think they earn as much anymore compared to what they used to rake in back in the Days either

Holdover from nautical days

>are women impressed by a bus driver in the sky?

Compared to the 60s? No

ultimate chad

They are

Their checks are still high because they're few and try to hold that position tight until they're too old to fly. Even when the entire industry is facing bankrupcy, they are basically unharmed. It's the other personnel that experiences it.

They're the captain of the ship, an airplane is literally a flying ship.

They are yes. Although being married with a boring little man that is never home eventually takes its toll on them

Bus drivers should push for that.

unironically is the boys job of waving those glowing sticks on the airport harder now

Bus drivers do have uniforms tard. And most captains wear just shirt and tie, they don't need to be on parade outfit once in the cockpit

You're impressed by pilots too. Having hard earned skills that you use to literally fly is one of those things that's objectively cool on the deepest level. Any biological organism would appreciate it as cool and predictive of evolutionary fitness. The platonic form of a pilot was defined before time as being cool. It's even cooler than smoking. That doesn't mean I want want be one of these glorified bus drivers, you have to sacrifice all your time and income for like a +30% cool factor.

>goes to the local high school and recruits the prettiest teen girls for his flying harem
it's not FUCKING FAIR
