I CAN SHOW YOU WHERE THE SATCHEL IS
ON THE RIVER BANK
Best movie ever made.
He was on the unmarked 13th floor of a building (the 13th floor is sometimes left out of high-rises due to superstition) which marked him for death like his name itself, wELLs, which is 113 or simple 13 backwards, like all the rest:
LLEwelyn
ed tom bELL
deputy wendELL
terrELL county, TX
EL paso
dEL rio
This roughly mirrors the scale of the original shootout (about 10+ guys, five trashed vehicles and a dead dog) which is exactly (more or less) repeated over the course of the film. Llewelyn shoots a dog dead as we start int our second act, five or so cars are trashed, and 10+ people are killed. Violence repeats very efficiently here because, y'know, NCFOM. The windows on the Del Rio hotel where Llewelyn checks in later are also two neatlyspaced facades of 2 x 13, suggesting the doubling (repetition) of violence/killing, also they are tall things with rounded/angled tops which are strongly suggestive of gravestones. Everyone is marked, coded for death by the simple fact of being human, but it's a little more obvious in the world of the film.
I know something better
He was the simple man who upvote a video on youtube.

Terrible movie
Just terrible
I've just given you the central ideas of my interpretation of the film, which I like to repeat on this board a few times a year.. It's true that they're based in numerology which can feel reachy, but it's all a little too frequent and on-the-nose not to be on purpose, IMO.
The single best version of this thread was when I chatted with some drunk user and he saw all of it, It's here: archive.4plebs.org
Oh yeah, the numbers 12-15 are significant generally. Consider the opening sequence, which has 11 (IIRC) still-ish rural shots before it cuts to a twelfth, when the action begins. Meanwhile, Ed Tom drawls on about being sheriff, before he hits a dramatic beat about a murderer who is about to be executed and believes that he will go to hell, "be there in about 15 minues". The 12-15 range is significant because it goes with Anton's apparent body count, and it also brackets the two motel suites (112-114) at the crime scene where Llewelyn was killed. In between those two numbers is 113, in the pipes of the architecture as it were (as we saw before), where death awaits.
I would also draw your attention to the tombstone of Agnes Kracik, 1922-1980 (look closely). This is a reflection of the numbers mentioned in the coin speech, 22 years, 1958 (minting of coin), 1980 (now).
Jezus, this is advanced autism
one of the major themes of the movie is that we can never completely control our fates. many people walk on this earth thinking they can though, even up until the very last moment. they do this to cope with uncertainty and anxiety of those around them.
He was a Vietnam war veteran just like Moss
Body count pic from old thread, ten bodies plus dying Baja Blast man makes eleven (not including doggo), then the two suits are killed which makes 13, although this is really a transition into Anton's ongoing kill count.
what exactly did he do to warrant your question?
senor, takis fuego y baja blast por favor

Since we have a Shining and NCFOM thread going at the same time, I want to point out a special pose in both threads: in The Shining, Hallorann leans up at an old phone booth, has a plan, just came into town, he's got it all figured out. He dies a little later. Exact same thing with Llewelyn in NCFOM. Note extremely similar visual and thematic composition of both shots; I think the Coens were paying homage to Kubrick here. The thing that really sells it for me personally is the blue nubby thing on both old payphones.
Also, both films are set in 1980.
Rust was mowing his lawn.
Boobonic plague
Hubris, genuinely.

Big brain take
>both characters use a payfone! :O
Nothing. He was just another interloper, he seemed detached and he didn't work very hard to prevent his fate.
He didn't seem very physically capable either. Maybe he was wounded in vietnam? If that was Moss who had encountered him at the hotel I can assure you there could have been fists
alex daddario's succubus pussy drove him insane
