>“I am one Black woman - if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse,” Lynch said. >“I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary,” she added. >Lynch revealed that she collaborated with film’s co-writer Phoebe Waller Bridge to successfully pull off her character as she wanted it to be “subtly drawn, believable, perhaps even a little awkward“. >“A character that is too slick, a cast-iron figure? That’s completely against what I stand for. I didn’t want to waste an opportunity when it came to what Nomi might represent,” she said. >Lynch added that the character will come across as authentic to Black audiences who will sure root for her. >“I searched for at least one moment in the script where Black audience members would nod their heads, tutting at the reality but glad to see their real life represented. >“In every project I am part of, no matter the budget or genre, the Black experience that I’m presenting needs to be 100 per cent authentic,” the actor added.
GET YOUR OWN FUCKING CHARACTER AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH IT FFS STOP STEALING SHIT
>FFS >STOP STEALING SHIT She wants it to be authentic to the black experience though
Jacob Russell
What does that even mean?
Julian Adams
So hip hop music will be playing during chases, because that's the only way Hollywood can portray blacks. Maybe she gets electrical powers near the end of the movie, and this franchise will become proper capeshit.
Samuel Cook
>Lynch added that the character will come across as authentic to Black audiences who will sure root for her. >authentic to Black audiences Is she gonna shout BLM and steal some Nikes?
Chase Diaz
Site is called "The Dindu"

Stuff like this is why straight white men always make the best characters. With non whites and women, there’s always a constant battle between making race/sexuality a major part of the character or not. People will never be pleased, black characters especially aren’t worth the hassle. Straight white male characters don’t have to worry about this bullshit and can stand on their own
Kayden Ramirez
>Black Lightning >Miles Morales >Static Shock What's up with blacks and lightning?
Nolan Bennett
>very, very revolutionary, Soviet union called, it wants its retard quotas back.
James Rivera
if she didn't look like a gross shit i wouldn't be as annoyed
Jace Johnson
>lynch

>that's the only way Hollywood can portray blacks What else is there? Perhaps a cannibalization of African countries in the form of mudhuts on top of skyscrapers.
Logan Hernandez
They get tazed a lot, so they try to own the thing... probably.
>offered role >take role >accused of stealing Do incels not understand the definition of stealing???
Robert Phillips
It means that blacks like to steal, you sub 80 iq retard
Leo Scott
So she's just a diversity hire, what a surprise.
Owen Ramirez
Real talk how do they expect to make money on this franchise now? Black man would be fine but a woman? Nobody likes tough girl bullshit. Nobody. Blacks won't give a fuck about muh girl power just because she's black. Stupid move but hey bond hasn't been entertain or fun in nearly 20 years so
Black? I still remember the whole fucking frama when they made JB a blond guy. Everybody was shitting blood though their ears and nose about it. The abuse she's getting is actually pretty tame for a JB change of that magnitude.
John Sanders
There were plenty of black characters and actors throughout the 80s and 90s who didn’t carry this kind of baggage. The push for black characters to be overtly “black” and representative of the “black experience” is relatively new. It also helped that the blacks actors of the 80s and 90s were faaaaar more charismatic than the ones we have today. Die Hard with a Vengenace is imbued the race politics throughout but it works because of Sam L Jackson’s acting chops and because of the tone of the film.
There’s also an emphasis today on making ‘minority’ characters faultless to avoid any accusations of racism, sexism etc. But in turn this makes the character boring at best, and at worst offensive. Faults and contradictions are what make characters interesting.

I want suave asian Bond. Is that too much to ask for?
If I’m not mistaken, at the end of the last movie Bond had retired. This black woman character is the new 007 at the start of No Time To Die. The movie is about Bond coming out of retirement. I’m sure by the end of the film he’ll be reinstated as 007.
I would watch a Money Penny movie. A young M movie. But new girl as the new 007 movie? Not really interested.
Grayson Baker
Can’t wait for the inevitable backtracking when it becomes Ghostbusters 2.0
Elijah Kelly
007 =/= Bond
Jayden Jones
Bond can fit in all sorts of situations because he’s a handsome white man. A black woman and an unattractive one at that will stick out like a sore thumb
Eli Lewis
>young M please please please do this, Hollywood! Make it a period piece set in the 60 like the original Bond films
Camden Morgan
Black people are 4% of the UK population.
Grayson Jackson
JellyBean
Asher Cox
Make a black spy movie, I don’t care but doing under the name of James Bond is disingenuous. It’s not James Bond at all
Jacob Long
NuBond is just action. It's like Batman. He doesn't investigate that much anymore. Bond doesn't charm/gamble/go undercover so much anymore. I think Casino Royale was the last film that still felt like Bond to me.
Jeremiah Miller
>STOP STEALING SHIT
They won't. They see the purpose of white people as being to carry black people to where blacks want to be in civilization so they don't have to ever pick themselves up to the level of whites. And in their minds, whites NOT carrying blacks through civilization are just racist.
