I will never understand how this man made it as a comedian. He is boring and unfunny.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH STOP LIKING WHAT I DONT LIKE NOOOOOOOOO
only the tv show was truly successful and mostly because of other people, but he managed to take advantage of being the main character and having his name on it
He's Jewish and appealed to yuppies and the like in New York. After getting a TV show he sort of just stayed around and now people in the stand up world have to kiss the ring.
It was a different time.
>how did a jew succeed in an entirely jewish industry
one of the running jokes of the show was how he kind of sucked as a comedian. they leaned into that more in the later seasons, after they stopped opening/closing with standup bits.
Very underrated by goyims. Watch 23 Hours to Kill, it's pretty solid.
No one really considers him to be a great comedian, he’s respected because of Seinfeld but stand up is very weak
Le epic Zig Forums contrarian. Show em buddy.
He didn't write the jokes.
SHE WAS A HOOKER
he's so highly regarded because he made Larry David's material more middlebrow, thereby enabling Seinfeld to be a huge hit instead of a relatively niche success filled with overt misanthropy.
As a gay man, I agree.
whats the deal with airplane food? Im serious, whats the deal with it?
cleavage is cleavage
He was smart enough to know that he was not a good comedic actor (though he grew into it over time) and he was even smarter to allow the show to ultimately become an ensemble of four intersecting sitcoms rather than demand that he be the absolute center of attention.
Behind every successful man is a...
I think Curb ultimately needed Seinfeld to exist first. I prefer living in a world with both and if Curb came first it would be a half season wonder beloved by hipsters and contrarians and there would be no Seinfeld.
i watched his set on johnny carson the other night and phew
it felt like the audience pitied him more than anything, it was like the seinfeld openers but drawn out and worse
Crocker was too green to see it you know?
Good taste though. Plus she was jewish.
Jerry is underrated now
I wouldn't say he's better than George or Kramer, but honestly I probably quote his lines more than anybody else from the show
NOOOOOOOOO HOW DARE YOU DATE A FUCKING 17 YEAR OLD GIRL? SHE HAS TO BE AT LEAST 56 YEARS OLD TO HAVE ENOUGH MENTAL DEVELOPMENT OTHERWISE IT IS RAPE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Good observation. He definitely balanced out Larry. Plus Seinfeld had an absolutely top notch cast of course.
It's like how Citizen Kane is praised for doing a lot of things first. There was a time when no one dared criticize airplane food.
me too and I'm not even a huge fan of either show. I love Larry David for reasons that transcend his actual comedic output, he manages to seem like a kindred spirit despite being worth a gazillion dollars.
Kek I wonder if that really was a scene in Kojak or Norm very possibly made it up for laughs.
But look at Jonah Hill for example. Jew as well, given a ton of chances but he was retarded enough to not understand the privilege and lost it all. You gotta give it to Seinfeld for at least taking advantage and not wasting the opportunity
its real
Youtube link?
He also defended his racist friend.
Been watching his Netflix thing. He's actually quick witted and quite based. Big fan.
Yeah, that a point. They don't give their own second chances if they aren't well behaved, take advantage of what they have and work. Shia LaBeouf is another example.
Jonah Hill has had a very successful career as both an actor and writer. The fuck are you guys talking about?
>I will never understand how this man made it as a comedian.
He was a family-friendly comedian. PG-rated. Never said a curse word. No deep adult themes like sex, etc, etc. Even on his show he carefully tip-toed around edgier topics.
