you can't keep this up
based
but user, the world will end on December 21st
i genuinely admire your longevity
Can't believe I'm saying this, but i actually miss the Abatab tripfag
Why?
Robust.
Ah ta ta user, but I’ve checked the archives and you missed a day last week. We’re you banned, or simply predisposed? Either way proving your resolve is weak and you cannot keep this up.
Jim's making kino again
For this year? Uh, let's say zombie vaccine.
Stop pushing the date back! You can’t keep getting away with this!
IT'S THE BAAAASEEEED COOOOOUNTDOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!!
Only a couple of weeks until the 2 year big milestone
My grandma loved Avatar, now she can barely remember any movie she's seen. Too late, Cameron!
i always think of that guy from asia somewhere who killed himself because life wasnt as colorful/vibrant as avatar. I dont know why, its not profound or unusual.

I would like to remind everyone here, especially the lurkers, that the ISV Venture Star is the single most realistic, most well thought out, and probably the closer to something that mankind could build someday (inspired by visionary Kinos such as Avatar, Aliens, or the Abyss).
Only 743 days until we get to see, if not more of the ISV Venture Star, but another ship from the ISV class!
Where's zoe?
Half of that sentence is missing, but that's okay, I don't think any of the regulars here give a shit about the ships.
Still flops
Because the voices in his head said so because he forgot to take his meds
behind the woman to the left of Lang

23% rotten tomatoes
I care user, although I don't know much about space travel so I don't have much to add
Anybody knows how long he has been doing this?
based and robust
Here's a few key details that separate James Cameron's KINO ship from the riff raff. It has huge radiators, these are the glowing red parts you see at the front. Real space ships have radiators because in space there is nowhere for heat to go, and real space ships would overheat very rapidly, because of the electric system and human beings inside of them. Space suits are covered in tubes filled with cold water to save astronauts from death by heatstroke. Based Cameron is the only one to equip his ships with radiators large enough to actually dissipate the energy of the engine.
The engines are also at the front and to the sides, because it's easier to make a material strong against tension than against compression, so the ship can be overall lighter if it's pulled rather than pushed, even if you take into account the thrust lost because the engines have to aim slightly sideways to avoid damaging the ship.
Other hacks would have had their ship have artificial gravity for ease of shooting, but Based Cameron has his in zero-g, like the real ones, difficult shoot be damned.
Then there's other shit that's not in the movie, that you have to look for, like the flight path of the ship, its mode of propulsion, the time it takes to make the 4 light year crossing, the fact that it spends as much time accelerating as it does slowing down...
I'm a huge space nerd, I'm a huge sci fi nerd, and when it comes to live action, Cameron is the only one to have even remotely gotten interstellar flight without magic "muh hyperspace" right.
