Film is dead

Film is dead.

Video games are the future medium for story telling.

Sorry, they did make one good game, and remake of a game they made >20 years ago

No.

A shot of a real human face can convey more emotion and story than any graphically animated face ever can.

I enjoyed XV for what it is (bought royal edition on sale). Best FF is Tactics, though. That being said, storytelling in games has never achieved the quality of the masterpieces of literature and cinema, not even close. And they never will. So when you talk about a good story in vidya you mean "by vidys standards"

THAT'S IT
I'VE COME UP WITH A NEW RECIPE

>Video games are the future medium for story telling
I realized videogames are where people are telling stories now because its so much harder to get a spot on a network than just making the story with a smaller team and putting it up on steam.
They dont need any businessea approval or meddling and they tell their story directly to the consumer.

Looks like KINO's back on the menu, boys!

Then why are they constantly mimicking films both story wise and presentation wise?

If you need either religion or science to make your moral standards for you then perhaps neither religion or science are the problem but man himself.

Literature hasn't been good in almost 50 years now. Film is only good if you look at indie foreign stuff. Big budget flicks are not as good as big AAA vidya.

>Film is dead.

Gaming passed movies in terms of $$$ / revenue along time ago,

i wonder how many in-app purchases and microtransactions are included in that graph.

Musiclets, when will they learn?

Ahem.

I agree with you but AAA video games are still terrible.

Pretty sure music is visual

Book can be audio if you use audiobooks, and you visualize it in your head. Books have all three.

>not even the best final fantasy game released that year

And you choose a Final Fantasy with a terribly executed story as proof.

>FFX-2
yes
>FF7-R
no
>no mention of IX
faggot

FF15 was released in 2016, and to be fair, development started somewhere in the mid-2000s when scene people were a thing.
What if we got an acclaimed writer/screenwriter to write a video game? Not implausible to get a younger writer, since a lot of younger people are more familiar with and more receptive to video games.
>Movies are a combination of MOVIES, books and music
Lmao what? Also, even though video games typically have weaker writers, one huge advantage of storytelling in video games is the ability to create branching story paths.

That's you, not the medium though.

>no

>Lets copy paste DMC

Im ok with it!

it would have been better if they just released the 3d models so the fans could make porn. the game itself is tiresome

Ok but what about taste ?

>FF15 was released in 2016

Jesus Christ, time has no meaning to me anymore.
