1.What made the future people believe that killing the past wouldn't kill them as well?
2.What exactly is occurring during the car chase? The specifically confusing part is when inverse tigerman shows up, and everything that follows.
3. How does a woman accidentally selling her husband a fake fancy painting make him want to torture her forever?
4. Who were the strike times fighting? Tigerman badguys?
5. How exactly does a temporal pincer movement work?
feel it
Fuck you nigga
>What made the future people believe that killing the past wouldn't kill them as well?
They don't know that at all, they're just willing to risk it
>What exactly is occurring during the car chase? The specifically confusing part is when inverse tigerman shows up, and everything that follows.
Not actually sure what part lost you user
>How does a woman accidentally selling her husband a fake fancy painting make him want to torture her forever?
Control issues, and also literal insanity
Who were the strike times fighting? Tigerman badguys?
Are you asking about the final battle? If so, I don't actually remember. I know it's not all Sator's men though
>How exactly does a temporal pincer movement work?
The team going backwards prevents the forward team from getting BTFO
It's kind of stupid to answer all these questions because they're not important. It's a movie about car chases and shooting people.
>there are multiple parts in the film where there are two of the same character. Particularly the one fight at the airport where Not Denzel is fighting himself. That's just one temporal paradox. Depending on how many times Not Denzel reverses himself he is theoretically able to duplicate himself over and over. If one of these Not Denzel's dies it wouldn't erase the other duplicates, they would continue existing. Edward Cullen sort of explains this in a throwaway line that hints that he himself is already dead in the future/past.
>Andrei escaped the car chase by reversing himself and starting the car chase.
>Andrei wasn't torturing her because of the painting. He was torturing her because she was the future scientist who created time traveling and he wanted to monopolize the technology.
>faceless henchmen. Presumably working for Andrei.
>a pincer movement is when two teams close in on a target from opposite sides. But instead of coming in from the east and the west, they come in from the future and the past. Andrei escaped the car chase because he was able to go back in time. If there was another team already reversed they would have been able to meet him after he escaped/before the car chase began.
I liked the idea of inverse entropy but the need of expositions and the fast pace completely sacrificed the characters. I think it was a waste as a movie and the whole concept would have worked much better as a TV series.
thats the problem with nolan. he digs up great ideas and does have an eye for great cinematography but his movies are absolutely shallow and he is, objectively, bad at telling stories and writing human dialogue.
One of these days, audiences might even agree with you
i dont think so. human dialogue is considered too long and not instagramable enough. and thats what movies are made for today.
Based retard cant spot when he's being called a faggy little autist
Maybe he just didn't care. You seem more like the autist here, chief
Both team A and team B go through the event at the same time, starting from the end and the beginning. Team A goes in immediately. Team B does nothing for a while and then in the future uses a turnstile.
According to team A:
Team A goes through the briefing while in the mean time they see the terribly wounded and dead team B still packed into blue containers. Team A boards the helicopters and the helicopters carrying team A on board and the containers with terribly wounded and dead team B depart and land at the beginning of the event. As they leave the helicopters they see terribly wounded and dying Team B running backwards out of the containers they were carrying. Team A progresses through the event seeing team B running backwards. All this time both team A and team B are getting closer to the helicopters that brought team B in the future. As they run into the red containers that those helicopters were carrying they see team B running backwards and also getting on that chopper that then flies backwards into the future.
According to team B:
Team B waits a while while the inverted team B are wounded and dying in the blue containers (that is future them). Team A leaves carrying the containers containing the wounded and dying team B. Team B does nothing for a while. After a while they enter a turnstile and start flowing back in time. They board the helicopters carrying wounded and dying Team A in the red containers and fly to the end of the event. As they leave the helicopters they see terribly wounded and dying Team A running backwards out of the containers they were carrying. Team B progresses through the event seeing team A running backwards. All this time both team B and team A are getting closer to the helicopters that brought team A in the future (past in normal time). As they run into the blue containers that those helicopters were carrying they see team A running backwards and also getting on that chopper that then flies backwards into the past.

As to whether the entire movie makes sense: no. The fact that you can travel backwards in time is a paradox that can't be reconciled with the laws of physics as we know it. Physics contains a concept of an arrow of time, time can't flow backwards. It would violate all sorts of theories: quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, causality. It is just impossible, it creates a paradox.
But possibly:
Option 1:
Everything is set in stone and your decisions do not matter. Everything "has already happened": both past and the future are impossible to change. That means that if you see yourself right now in the same room and take out a gun to kill yourself knowing that this is the future you then you will not be able to. The gun will misfire, or you will live, or someone will stop you. It did not happen. You can't kill yourself. This makes no sense because it basically doesn't matter what you do. That also means that if in the future it is all fucked that means that they failed to fuck up the world and reverse the flow of time. It is pointless to try.
Option 2:
Whenever you change ANYTHING a new universe is created. You can't rely on any information from the future, it is all bullshit. If someone saw you in the future and comes back to tell you, and you shoot yourself in the head, everything that he knows will happen is bullshit because obviously it is now a different reality where it will not happen. This resembles the many-worlds theory which doesn't actually have anything in common with this behavior, but is possibly exactly what is happening and is seen as a popular interpretation of quantum mechanics. Many scientists believe that indeed during every infinietly small number of time infinietly many different realities are created.
Overall any movie with time travel into the past simply makes NO SENSE.
t. frustrated physicist trying to find some sense in the movie even though the explanations he provided also can't be reconciled with physics as we know it
Imagine being so austistic that you have to write off an entire genre because it makes your brain tingle too much
The nigger aspects of this make me not want to watch it
is it actually good?
Why was the car going backwards chasing denzels car?
>Guys, I need an actor to do the most shameless Denzel Washington immitation youve eve....oh there u are
It's actually one of the only plothole un the movie, which is why you can tell that the autists who screech about the movie got turbo filtered
>inverted denzel
Why do you think it is a plothole?
denzel is his father
anyways
>black main character
lmao what was he thinking
No wonder
I just played the movie not really paying attention and i thought it was a denzel until i looked
Ok I think I know what you mean, basically just at the beginning of that scene. Yeah it makes no sense, at that point they just wanted to get away from them so why not just turn completely away from them? Why drive exactly in front of them while running away? No idea.
Based movie.
Because it doesn't follow the rules of the movie. The only way that car could be inverted is if it went through a turnstile. Unless they showed or told the audience that it did and I'm just getting exposed as a brainlet.
But I'm pretty sure this didn't happen, and Inverted Protagonist just got in a car that should have been functioning normally. The scene was awesome but it doesnt follow the rules
