Dooku was the real hero of the saga. If he'd won, the galaxy would be a much better place. His representation in the animated series is slanderous and they flanderized him to manufacture a mustache twirling villain.

As much as I love TCW I completely agree with you that they flanderized him, his scene with Obi in AotC is one of my favorite Star Wars scenes because you can feel his sorrow, closest you get to him having any character in TCW was the episode where he jobs to pirates
