Since when did Pollacks get so interesting?

alright boys, here is the updated 13th Century chart. what should I add? what should I remove? should I move on to the 14th Century chart for now?

What

No and I don't really regard them that highly either. I think they're solid B-movies that could develop into an A-director. I rank him about the same as Scott, Cronenberg, Korine, Alex Payne, Scorsese (who is a bit better), Carpenter, de Palma. Mann, Schraeder, etc. Not up with my ragtag usual suspects that I 'overrate.'

what Christmas /films/ are you watching to get in the spirit?

Christmas is always sleaze cinema from the 70s and 90s, hence the choices I've been watching.
New Years is Silents, usually Chaplin, so it'll be a week of Griffith, Vidor, and Chaplin.

Love the layout but this chart is only scratching the surface compared to the one I put together. Even mine is missing some that I didn't think of until after the fact...

It's a youtube channel. Brilliantly done. The story isn't over yet.

>pollacks shilling their youtube channel on /film/

>Die Hard
>Rocky IV
>Bill Murray
>Iron Man

No. I usually hate the polish. Been burnt on too many roofing jobs.

Tokyo godfathers

The movie takes place on Christmas Eve. How is it not a Christmas movie

I've seen some of these but they are all forgotten as usual

I'm just saying they are reddit picks. Not fit for a /film/ chart

Yeah - Die Hard actually does fit well for 'Christmas Movies,' because the Christmas themes are more important to the film than even some of the concepts revolving around police work, but it'll never go on a /film/ chart since it's 100% a reddit meme

>nitpicking a pretty good chart over one movie that literally occurs during Christmas

Poles are based. What are you some English construction worker

my first post was about 4 films, and that was just a quick once over. add Bad Santa 2, Daddy's Home 2, Love Actually, Edward Scissorhands, Carol, etc.

Missing a few classics too, like Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence or Eyes Wide Shut. (Just look at the previous chart - some are arguable, like Dekalog, but there's some good Christmas kino there). Also add a date for the A Christmas Carol and Miracle on 34th St. movies, makes a massive difference. Not bad, but not really /film/, if that makes sense. Honestly it's just really long

Just as good as the 4 "reddit" movies already included

Tarkovsky used to be cool but after all the video essays and twitter posts he is too normie. Who is the new Tarkovsky?

Angeloupoulos and German

German

I'm not sure if you understood my post or not. I was saying all those other films were reddit as well and shouldn't be on a /film/ chart

>I've seen some of these but they are all forgotten as usual
do you have any more recs?

Who cares, he's such a midwit.

The River is kino

>German
I've been hearing this - rarely, but occasionally, on /film/-centric threads, most recently saying that he took what Kalatazov did and made it better. But I don't think there's really any sort of "new Tarkovsky," even if he gains more mainstream popularity. Tarkovsky might become the new Kubrick when it comes to appeal to the 13-25 y.o. male "cinephile" crowd.

Wasn't trying to disagree with you, the chart already felt more "reddit" than /film/ so he might as well add those, go for broke for whatever his chart is
