Are you out of your fucking mind?

>there are grown ass adults that live in 1st world countries on this board that pirate

you can't sweat 5, 10, 20 dollars a month for movies and tv? the cost of a few drinks per month at a bar is such a devastating financial burden that you commit crime to make it work? do you realize how much boomers got raped for cable tv and you can't put up with paying what amounts to throw away goof money on ad free content you actually want to watch? what the fuck is wrong with you?

I'm not buying 6 different streaming services because each has an exclusive show I want

It's basically just cable now. Fuck off.

what SIX streaming services do you want?

Lmao look at the capitalist seething

I haven't paid for media for 15 years, fuck you.

>being a streamcuck

Imagine.

IMAGINE.

Paying money to access someone else's collection.

A collection filled to the brim with things you will never watch.

A collection where things will be gotten rid of with no prior notice, never to return.

Imagine shelling out money AT ALL for something you have power over, no control of, no ownership of, instead of curating your own collection.

If you subscribe to ANY streaming service, you are bending over backwards and sucking megacorp cock, feverishly and willingly choking down every gallon of rancid semen.

OY VEY
HOW WILL I GET MY MONEY IF THE GOYIM DONT PAY

>want something
>it's for sale
>FUCK YOU REEE I'M NOT PAYIN THAT I'M JUST GONNA TAKE IT REEEE

10 bucks is literally nothing

I would stick to netflix if I had even half of the movies I wanted to see. But, unfortunately, I´m dutch and we get nothing.

*If it had

Fuck you faggot information belongs to everyone.

Hollywood finances are a pile of bullshit anyway, none of it is "real" money to them.
If something is popular on torrents, that will points for it getting a sequel or the director getting more work. Which is fine, because none of it is real.
We collectively advertise movies by talking about them online, the more people see a thing and talk about it, the more normies and wagecucks are going to want to see it.
And beyond all that, all the films are fucking trash anyway. Why should I give money to some publisher for an old movie when everyone who made it is dead or a hack at this point?

I find it more insane to pay for things that I can easily acquire for free. the free versions are also much more convenient and easy to access than the paid-for versions.
>double click on video file
vs
>open streaming app/website
>sign in
>find movie
>oh wait the movie was removed because it moved to another service
>or it's not there because it's foreign but not from korea or released after 2000
>or it's not there because it's old
last time I checked Netflix doesn't even have basic bitch movies like Alien, you expect me to pay up any money for something that doesn't have what I want?
also
>do you realize how much boomers get raped for cable tv
yes, and streaming will cost about the same amount when it replaces cable. not going to hop on that bandwagon early, thank you :)

I buy a blu-ray every now and then for movies i want in my collection.

I pay for Disney+, and use my father's Netflix.

The rest I torrent.

Why not do everything?

I went to jail for 15 years for watching lord of the rings online.

ALSO
they could benefit by tightening their fucking purse strings. Everything in doctor strange could be accomplished by taking screenshots of a winamp music visualiser, and it would be better if it was.

Why does Netflix have so few old movies anyhow? You think they could a lot of that pretty easily.

In the end it's the only option, there isn't a decent torrent for everything

I just can't be bothered.
>crime
Downloading movies isn't a crime.

On the one hand, yeah, on the other hand collectors are embarrassing.

>it's trash
>but I will go out of my way to get it

this is piratefag logic

That's the thing. I normally buy blurays that are either:

A) Old films
B) Films where quality is really important.

I've been burned too many times by desynchronised audio or poor visual quality from torrents.

Having streaming services are nice and convenient for when you just watch to chuck something on.

What I don't see mentioned often is people who do both.

I personally both torrent and have a netflix subscription. Torrenting keeps movies in my hard drive so they don't disappear etc.

Alternatively, I can also just watch something in 4k without getting off from my couch if I want to. This is the optimal zone. Not to mention by watching things that I actually like at the original source, more of what I like gets produced.

I'd be going out of my way if I didn't torrent shit.

>grown ass
reddit niggers need to leave

I'm guessing they don't want to pay for more servers for niche content when they're barely profitable.

i save as much as possible to sustain my winter bulk in the gym.

>mfw downloading the most recent $10,000 copy of Matlab
It's not theft because nothing is missing. I've probably download tens of thousands of dollars in movies and TV shows as well.

Netflix's movie selection is alright if you just started watching movies but it's trash if you're not. Nobody will watch The Descent Part 2 if the original isn't on there.

>can have thing for free without consequence
>REEEEEEEE WHY AREN'T YOU PAYING?????
This is the mind of a corporate drone.

the ultimate pill is bumming your friends/girlfriends streaming services
>anyone posting here will know not of this way

wow dude you no pay for thing such a rebel

I guess? Still seems weird to me, especially since sometimes they actually have sequels but not the original.

wow dude you pay for thing such a pillar of society

Yes.

yeah it kind of is. I'm how society stays functioning, you're a deadbeat

I would just like to thank all the Americans for paying for the content and software that I enjoy for free.

Netflix
Amazon Prime
Hulu
Disney+
HBOMax
YouTubeTV

>YouTubeTV

Based

good, now go back to work and pay your taxes, you need to pay for my stuff somehow

Just downloading is fine in most places, it's mostly illegal if you torrent because you're making the content available to others by seeding. That potentially creates a loss for the rights holder. That's why the Megavideo guy got busted.

>want couch
>"Okay I'll lease it"
>3 months later
>"Hey man this armrest is gone next month, keep payin though"

Do you also find it weird when you look at a bargain bin and they only have the latest James Bond movie there instead of the entire series?
I know binge watching is popular but the latest hottest thing is generally more profitable.

>society wouldn't function without Hollywood
