Everyone cites the apatow thing, but she really killed it by crossing Shonda Rimes. She shit on the writing when they nominated her for an emmy during a season where she thought she didn't get enough to do, so she was like "yeah I don't deserve this nom because the writing isn't there." As if that wasn't enough, she was involved in the situation of someone on set supposedly calling someone else a 'fag', which got a couple people fired. Add that the apatow situation and generally being super unpleasant on sets, she crashed her career.

She was nominated for an Emmy and then said she didn't deserve to be nominated because the writing for her character wasn't good that season. Which is very disrespectful to other people working on the show - even if it's true, you just don't say things like that if you want a collegial working environment. That wasn't the only thing that killed her career but it was representative of a string of incidents that labelled her a bitch/diva/hard to work with/etc.
