I bet a lot of small chans would love to be the 'next Zig Forums'. Obviously many would hate it but cripch had definite potential, if 4 had been shut down in 2014 it would have exploded, it's arguably better as a concept, since it combines the leddit aspect of user board creation with the user chan design. Crip was autistic about free speech and that got them in trouble with the law, but a site that made sure to get rid of anything actually illegal but otherwise let it slide could pick up most 4 refugees.
