luke is really a fantastic character. simple, but so resonant. lucas really knew how to convey that kind of restless youth and those kind of feelings, same as in american graffiti, the hot-rod kid in the little town — it was all very genuine, and probably personal. almost makes me wish those deleted scenes with biggs were kept in
