What film scene STILL sends chills down your spine after so many years?
What film scene STILL sends chills down your spine after so many years?
definitely not that overrated game
Still the best gen
>video games
I was talking about Pokémon in general
>best gen
>3
>how about we remove even the most basic stuff you could find in gen 2 to the point it looks worse graphically
Literally the point pokemon died to the mainstream.
Agreed gen 2 is best... Even out of shit remake editions
>He is The One
I got bored of pokemon after gen 2, but pokemon was mainstream as soon as the gen 1 hit
people had pokemon fever from the card game before the game even came out
It was everywhere, you couldn't escape pokemon even on the radio
fuck off
overrated isn't a valid criticism.. never was, never will be
Gen 3 was shit, it just seems good because it was such a technological step up from the previous 2 gens. If you play OR/AS you can see how lame it truly is
Yes, and all that disappeared by gen 3.
>remove even the most basic stuff you could find in gen 2
what do you mean? all i can think of is the fact that your walking speed became slower which i thought was bullshit even with the introduction of running
i dunno how people could call gen 1/2 perfect. some bug and leaf types are borderline unuseable due to the lack of decent bug type moves in the game. fury cutter is literally the only attacking move some of they had so you couldn't rely on STAB
it's refreshing that later gens actually had decent learnable-by-lvl-up moves that i didn't feel the need to look online before deciding to use a poke in-game
wanted may to be my gf when I was a little kid desu bros
>There are adults who still play Pokemon
wtf?
>leaf types
>*AHEM*
FUCK WATTSON
I think I got a game over at that fight 10 years ago
>gen 3
Roasty
Pure, distilled soul
i've seen multiple people talk about this. what's so hard about that encounter anyway?
by then my first pokemon would be near 30 (always the fire or water one, never chose the grass one) and i would have an eletrike, my trusty geodude with magnitude to sweep everything and everyone, ralts with her confusion and probably slugma
>not picking the female character
I think it's just all the grass you had to walk through to get to that point. Every step makes you flinch with fear that you're gonna get yet another encounter, then when you think you're almost through you meet your rival.
>near 30
Because that's why. Most people have theirs in the early 20's or even late 10's.
Based. Seeing this immediately makes the music play in my head and makes me feel sad/nostalgic
the game like all games, is boring as soon as you understand the mechanics and begin to min max it.
the fact a lot of the mons/types sucked just made it more challenging and made good pokemon seem cooler. You could absolutely still get through with grass/bug shitters.
Gen III was when the mania died and a lot of it's original fans become too old or cool for Pokemon, it was the only time in the franchise's history it look like it might die
War of the worldsremake with Tom cruise. The beginning of the ferry scene when the girl grabs his hand and a tripod steps on a tree. The oh shit looks and the blaring of that noise they make always gets me.
I bet you more adults thankids play the games these days
Or games in general. I'd say 80% of games have an 80% adult playerbase.
>scene flips the script
And this is somehow a good thing?
>people used to play games when they were kids and fuck when older
>now people fuck when they are kids and play games when they are older
It depends.
Adults like stupid escapism like Pokemon and Diseny movies
Kids with no real problems like cool frown up stuff like COD and ultra violent movies
for me? It's Pokemon Pearl
