Ironically only men who have a wife and kid/s can understand Chris' actions. He knew he hated their guts but the alternative was to run away and constantly think about them. What are they doing, is the wife going to find someone else to fuck her, is a lawsuit coming at him for abandoning them, will his daughters come looking for him once they're older and demand things from him.
