Anyone else watch this? Pretty cool concept, pretty bad execution. Could've been a good movie with a better budget... And probably better script. A few good moments in there though.

Ive had the exact same idea before I saw it. Pretty much what happens when you take LSD and think 'what would be scary? whats real cosmic horror'... so yeah if I can think of it theyre hacks. its not a cool concept lol
>Not a cool concept because I've done lsd
Neat.

>pretty bad execution
it was a pretty good movie m8
t. only child
Where's the fucking third movie? Even if it focuses on the guy's bitchy wife from the 1st movie I still want to see it.
I wasn't aware there as a second
Check out Resolution. The Endless is a sort of sequel to it. Spring was also pretty good, by the same crew. It's a love story/monster movie hybrid though, so it's not gonna be for everyone.
you guys will like The Fountain if you like this movie
The Endless is the second one, the first was about the two dudes in the cabin, with the guy cuffed on the ground.
It kinda falls apart when one of the main characters literally sits down and has the plot explained in vivid detail to him by a greasy hillbilly. We didn't really need that scene or that dude's subplot, it was just a cheap way to connect the movie to Resolution which we already had with the wife being in the commune. Kinda like the scene in Mandy where the sweaty guy from Predator looks directly at the camera and explains that the bad guys are actually humans.
I understand you need that kind of stuff in there for dummies but there's a better way to approach it.
Resolution is the 1st, Endless is second and the third might involve the main character's wife from the 1st if the director is to be believed.
Fugg The Fountain is such an underrated kino. It always makes me cry.
I've seen Resolution years before watching pic related and it probably won't make much sense if you watch just this one, I really liked it overall
It made perfect sense it's just a little lacking in dialogue, story, and the main actors were pretty shit. I don't think it lended itself quite well enough for the last 3rd of the movie. All that build up for what amounts to a shapeless fetch quest.
I saw Spring, The Endless, and then watched Resolution. Seeing Resolution first would have made The Endless more enjoyable.
bad
>guy's bitchy wife
She's so hot, Emily Montague.
Imagine being the guy stucked in a 3 second death loop lmao
It was okay. I think the heart of the film was all there, but they didn't do much to really explore it. More time could have been spent on the various loops to explore how they could be used, or more time could have been spent really developing the brothers relationship. Instead they just keep exploring this one particular loop that isn't even on a loop and its just kind of boring.
Remember the cabin he goes to in the middle of the movie? The guy who is handcuffed to the wall wanting drugs, and the other guy who burns it all down? Those guys are the writers of the movie, and its prequel, resolution, which is just them living through the first loop that got them trapped there. Nothing in the first movie really suggested anything about time loops so dont get too excited. It was really its own fun little friendship story that they just added to this world.
yeah i remember wanting to check it out, but they dropped the bromance and went for romance so i figured it wouldn't be for me (not that they did great jobs with the bromance itself)
The Fountain is ass and is the most pretentious film I've ever seen
Imagine combining this with The Void.
wasnt that the one at the hospital?
Yeah. Good practical effects with some poor execution.
t. no taste faggot
i liked it
He ain’t wrong
