a super heavy box with the maximum allowable mass. Its weapon is a 1.5" rotating steel shaft with an extremely coarse, jagged bit on the end. The bit catches on to enemy bots and sends them flying, or dismembers them.
four wheels, (two drive) are completely hidden under the steel housing. The only other control is a hydraulic piston that extends and retracts the rotating shaft.

Complete Control proved they can work, but they are really difficult to make actually effective. Got to have some kind of mechanism for holding in place and have to get the flame hot enough.

there are rules to build them, plus you don't know how to build anything so they are already leagues ahead of you
you have to consider budget also, some of these guys could probably build a great bot but have to deal with what they can spend and time to build it
even RC cars at the hobbyist level are not cheap

Nah. Its obviously that all you need is some good metal and a few motors.
I would just put hooks around the rim of my bot so when people try to flip me with their little cranes they get hooked and the leverage prevents the bot from lifting me without ripping its own weapon off.
Then I'm thinking some pincers with a metal sander up front. Those swing front spinners will jam up against a nice vertical sander bar.

Not sure what happened. For some reason the left side wheels started locking up and the right side stopped reaching the floor. I have no idea why, I assume something to do with how the wheels/axles are attached was shit that after it rammed itself into the wall 20 seconds in they started falling apart.
