Why did obiwan not kill him? instead he leaves him on a magma beach with his limbs cut off to slowly burning to death
Anakin was already dead
Jedi don't execute people.
This. But I thought it was actually crueler to leave him there, instead of finishing the job
its evil to let him suffer
He loved him that's why, if he didn't then he would have killed him
That's what happens when you give into the Dark Side. Suffering is the end point.
Because he was a good friend. Or maybe in that moment Obi Wan probably felt really intense anger and hatred for him and his strict adherence to Jedi teachings compelled him not to finish him off while in such an emotionally tumultuous state.
Because he was a good friend.
According to the canon novelization based on georges guidance and script, obi wan wasnt "feeling merciful"
He wasn't a good friend.
Couldn't bring himself to execute him after all they went through, even if it was a selfish act that prolonged his suffering. He thought the lava would kill him, which is pretty goddamn sadistic for a hero.
I thought it was because of the heat. Anakin caught fire without even touching the lava. Obi Wan probably didn't want to go anywhere near it due to the type of clothing he was wearing, which looked far more flammable than Anakin's. That's how I interpreted it. If Anakin hadn't rolled down to the edge of the river, Obi Wan probably would have mercy-killed him.
They sure don’t! It’s not the jedi way!
>Anakin and Vader are literally different individuals
no need to seethe over facts
Well, that movie is guilty of trying to destroy the established lore just so Ryan could be an edgy cunt and please Kennedy.
This is what happens when you give the reins of a major franchise to an indie director with a single movie that actually broke even.
True friends force push each other into lava in those situations
>”I hate you!!!”
>”Tell that to Padmes choked neck. Enjoy the lava”
Obi wan wanted him to suffer, so he could start making moves on padme
The book version add anything better compared to the movie?
He was a good friend.
He could’ve at least used the force to pick ani up and dunk his head in the lava
because the original movies were already out
Only a sith deals in absolutes
he has crippling adhd and just got distracted
A bit...
Based
Because the force told him not to
remind me what movie that was
Despite what the Jedi claim, they aren't actually compassionate.
Eh, I think I like the movie version better.
Based kenobi didn't have time because he needed to go fuck preggo padme
just force lift and impale him on your sabre. takes like 3 seconds max
>dies in Jango fett
Or stab him in the heart when he jumbed instead of cutting his limbs. These excuses are just bs.
So the whole theory on palpatine killing padme is legit right? I wonder if they explain it more in the book, but looking back at the movie it seems very obvious he killed her to save Darth Vader
This is what nerds rave about all the time. This takes the moviev ersion and adds a lot of cringe shit.
The movie is literally more nuanced and subtle.
Nope, she died from broken heart.
That was supposed to be in the original script before it was changed. Other things that were made by Stover were actually pretty good. I would say ROTS by Stover is still the best SW novel.
