TV was better when each episode had a self-contained narrative, even when formulaic, than this modern trend towards stretching a plot over an entire season.

They stretch a plot over the entire season because it's easier. No one wants to work hard on anything anymore.

The Boys was good for the first 2 episodes but then it got worse and worse with each entry. Season 2 finale was so fucking awful that I had to force myself to finish it out of the sunk cost fallacy.

Bane wasn't a big guy for CIA

>just recycling the same plot over and over
>difficult
Either format can be a crutch for weak writers.

Zig Forums was better when people followed their own thread rules instead of posting a popular opinion and framing it as unpopular to get affirmation.

Digital cinematography has sucked the living soul out of film. Go back and watch even mediocre movies from the mid-late 90s and witness a vastly richer, superior photography. 35mm film will reign in heaven forever, no matter how hard digital tries to mimic it

Season 2 of the Walking Dead was pretty good.

Jurassic Park isn’t a bad film by any stretch, but it’s a popcorn movie and nothing else. They had no idea what to do with Goldblum in the 2nd half, but knew he’d be too popular to just kill off halfway through so instead he just lies around with his shirt open. The kids have plot armour which takes away any tension in their scenes

Rob Zombie's The Lords Of Salem is masterpiece.

The Tim Burton Batman movies beat the living shit out of the Nolan ones

Halloween 5 and 6 are both awesome. Way better than that H'18 horseshit.

Dragon Cunt turning Heel in season 8 of GOT was insanely based and momentarily brought the show back to its roots.

Aliens sucks ass. Alien 3 is much better.

Prince Of Darkness is John Carpenter's last great film.

Not only is this kino, but it is the greatest film ever made

I think the riddick series only improved as it went along
Pitch black < Chronicles of riddick < Riddick

I just want to hold Hayley Atwell on a snowy February morning in front of the fireplace, nothing sexual just quiet appreciation and contact.

Agreed.

Adventure Time is a good show

The only people who use words like "objectively," "edgy," "pretentious," "campy" or any other variation of such when discussing media of any sort are just pseuds who are desperate to make themselves appear sophisticated and intelligent.

Back to the future 3 is the best in the trilogy

Also because it's easier to hire the same actors and shoot that shit real quick

If you think about it logically, film tech had developed for about 100 years before digital came about. All the best directors of photography knew the format well and new all the best ways to light scenes and stuff. With digital, all that gets thrown out the window. I think in about 100 years, digital will be as good as film was though.

The big Lebowski is 100% reddit tier cringe, the first blade runner isn't even that good.

>Prince Of Darkness is John Carpenter's last great film.
Agree.
It's also his best film aside from The Thing.

The Force Awakens is a shit film. It's not "okay" just because it isn't the TLJ/TRoS, it is just as bad. The only reason so many people let it off the hook is because they were desperate for OT nostalgia, but we should have seen the red flags back then.

JAV should remain pixelated.

Brainless cookie-cutter slasher movies are the best type of horror.

nuance- objectively speaking film is always better but the content is king, digital has opened the door for lots of filmmakers to make stuff without having to spend $10 a second to film anything. Also lenses have more to do with it than you think they do, if you use a Cooke Panchro Classic instead of Zeiss it'll look way more ''kino''
