Built website of a firm investing in specific technology (call it X). Just to sell my newsletter about this technology.
Now I have big banks/family offices contacting me looking to invest in the fund as well as tech companies/startups looking for investments.
I have none of the paperwork to facilitate this. I do score superwell on google on "investing in X". Some banks that contacted me are really big

Nothing. This is not ICO, these people will sit you down, talk to you face to face, then run background check on you and your bank, and only after that put some money into your fund, you’re wasting time basically.

You might be right. I am now looking into firms that actually DO have all thr paperwork, licenses and backoffice for these kind of deals and see if I can put my '''''fund''''' with them. Just trying to find the right way to approach them, cause I actually have nothing but interest on both sides.
Add a link saying 'Invest' to the menu bar, on that page say that you are giving away X amount of shares in the company for $x each. Include a button that says 'Invest now' and have it 'unhide' a form which shows a bitcoin address and a message 'Invest now with bitcoin'

Don't kill it yet my man. Build it and they will come. Don't lie, but this is a hell of an opportunity that many would kill for. Minimise your risk but the potential reward is better than a bank robbery, all without really being illegal.

Thank you. I might just tone down the mesage of the site and pivot to 'investment research' instead of being a fund. Meanwhile trying to get a real fund to help out.

Just do what Bezos and Musk did: future, science, Star Trek, grandchildren, ect., then take out loans and accept venture capital to hire people who can actually do it.
Remember, you're not "getting a real fund to help out" you're an "investment research firm with high value investors knocking on your door and you're now open to partnership with a fund".
Before you do or say anything, don't just ask "Is this a lie?" also ask yourself "Is this something I would say in my position?"

I'm not that user but im a computer science student at a top STEM university with a long history of 'faking it until I make it' and am quite decently connected with the tech world. everything i've gotten in life i've received by lying straight through my teeth and figuring out how to pretend I know things when I don't.
I call the whole business "approximating." I don't have to know things, I just have to approximate somebody who knows things. It is my investment strategy as well with crypto. I don't have to be a good investor, I just have to approximate the image in my mind of a good investor and fulfill the role. My university name could add credibility to your site if it does so exist and I would be willing to go balls deep into helping this be something legitimate rather than a random act of Fraud that would never be worth anything more than chump change. It all has to do with the magic of approximation. You don't need information so long as you act like someone who has it and you insert yourself into that role seamlessly.
