CME doesn't trade during the week so if the price drop or pump during the week end it create a gap in their chart tradingview.com/symbols/CME-BTC1!/, in the +2 years they have been trading BTC almost all gaps have been filled, meaning the price has revisit the same level

we had a massive gap at 9200$ from early march and the price just magically pumped right to close it then stopped pumping, there's currently still one at 10235 from February an other one at 11900 from august last year and kinda one at ~3500 from February 2019

it's pretty clear that those guys have massive control over this market

But other than that if there's a large CME gap over the weekend it gives a good idea of where the price will go?

as I said the gap at 3500 is dodgy so is the one at 10235 because the last candle before the gap has a wick, the last clear one is the one at 11900
why do they close them I have no idea but it's one of the most constant indicator in this market by far, there's dozens of gaps and they have almost all been filled over time

it will be closed sooner or later in my opinion, but be car full because the cme chart has big wicks and some gaps have been filled where the cme mover hundreds of dollar more than other exchanges
