It's really simple actually. We humans are right in the middle between animal and "god" (or whatever you want to call it). We can choose to defy our base animal desires, but they will always be there nudging us into certain directions that once favored us when survival and law of the jungle was all that we knew.

For what its worth I was just nice and normal to my girlfriend when I first met her, treated her well and didnt do anything illegal (I used to sell drugs way before I met her, but I did everything I could early on to prevent her from learning about my past life). She's just a really nice/sweet girl, and we've been together for 3 years now. You dont have to be an asshole or treat women like shit to get them to like you.
