Yes. The 9/11 GI Bill alone is worth over $250k in college funding. I literally made $30k a year, cash to my pocket, off the housing stipend and grant/scholarship refunds when I was going to college. I know several people who leveraged their VA home loan into little real estate empires. I never went to a war zone in my 5 years enlisted and that was at the height of the Afghan war, %70 of the military is non combat support like clerks and mechanics.
