There are a few millionaires in here. They actually were going to give me free bitcoin after I sent them 0.5 bitcoin but I think their internet connection died.

stocks are too slow to make it with in that time frame barring extreme luck (going all in on something that pops off, or having a highly leveraged position pay off)

crypto has been, and still is, in a massive bear market, which means only bobos with balls of steel can make it in crypto, and nobody on Zig Forums has enough testosterone to play the bear game that hard because on some level everyone here is still delusional about crypto going up "eventually"

Some people have made it, like me, but it is very hard, and you have to be lucky. The days of ridiculous returns in crypto are over. That ship has sailed unfortunately. The communists have taken over the crypto scene in force.

Stock indexes gain 8% per year, is that not enough? That's a huge return.

It's actually 5%, not 8%, and the index bubble is done. Don't expect that strategy to keep working. Even the man who created indexes called it a con before he died. Buy gold and silver before you lose everything.

I've cashed out close to 6 figures profit in crypto.

Stock have non-arbitrary indicators of value such as P/E and they pay dividends.
Holding onto stonks makes sense.

Value of gold is completely arbitrary.

Dividends are getting cut to nothing and stocks have never been more overvalued compared to P/E in all human history. The stock market would already be crashing down without the FANG stocks. Everyone has piled into the same stocks because of index funds. It's a bubble. Gold is immutable store of value and that will never stop being the case; it shines the most when everything else is crashing down. It's about to crash.

I agree stuff like Netflix and Tesla are incredibly overvalued but DIA is not the only index in existence.

I don't buy stocks with P/E 100 and no dividends.
