Someone has been insisting on inviting me to use this app, "Pi Network" apparently is a mining app for phones, where they pay you with Cryptocurrencies.

But it still bugs my mind "mining with phones", how is that possible, I remember people using Video Cards to mine faster and in a better rate, now phones are mining? where is the actual trick? why is this person insisting?

bump

i dont personally think pi network mines any token. it just seems to be a preset ticker

so how does people "earn" money?

Its a pyramid scheme. You "mine" faster the more people you get to sign up for this shitshow

the thing is its not because you don't buy anything

OP what kind of permissisons does the app require?
they might simply be collecting your information and selling it, and in exchange they'll give you a % of what they make off you

>the thing is its not "a pyramid scheme" because you don't buy anything
why do they keep saying that?
you don't need to but something to it become a pyramid scheme, they are actually using someone to mine faster

I think this is it, they actually get your info and sell it

Hardly a pyramid. You can be the only person mining if you want to be. You don’t need a network unless you want to mine faster. Plus, what the fucks it matter if it isn’t costing you. Kek. Atleast you don’t have to buy cases of energy drinks nobody has heard of.

>sell information
the app doesn't have any sort of back entry into your phone. It doesn't have ability to access it

Use code now frens!

>the app doesn't have any sort of back entry into your phone. It doesn't have ability to access it
so it doesn't mine, it doesn't get your info.
how does this actually gets money?

>Hardly a pyramid. You can be the only person mining if you want to be. You don’t need a network unless you want to mine faster.
Thats a pyramid dumwit

>Atleast you don’t have to buy cases of energy drinks nobody has heard of.
What you mean

Then I guess any affiliate marketing campaign in history has been a pyramid scheme. I guess Gmail was a pyramid scheme

It requires kyc so you're getting datafarmed in exchange for useless tokens that have been "mined" for over a year that you cant even trade. Oh, it's not even on blockchain.

Stop trying to shill this shit so much you are not going anywhere with your lies, its a fucking pyriamid scheme, where you work for others, sure, you dont have to invite people, but you will miss out a lot if you dont.
Not to mention, this "crypto currencies" dont even have a market, they are valueless.
Only zoomers believe in this scam

you stupid lying bitch

>Shill this shit
I'm not shilling shit you mongoloid. You're free to not download it

>it's a fucking pyramid scheme
You just got explained how many times that a pyramid scheme revolves around an initial capital investment. Your simple mind can't understand the concept of affiliate programs for some reason.

>No market
The main net hasn't been built yet faggot.
In addition, it actually does have a market right now where people trade Pi futures on some small time asian exchange with a 24h volume of over $1m. And it's current price is $0.36

I don't think this is a pyramid Scheme, it seems like it because the way it traps people into it, but as said, it uses your info, you give a lot of personal info to log in.
sure this guy is shilling to much of this scam. but I don't recommend giving more shits about this app, it just another death "cryptocurrency" scam. spoiler: it isn't even a cryptocurrency because it doesn't have a market double spoiler: it wont ever have

Not sure if it is a scam or not op, I hope it isn't. I believe that the company decided to use a technique to gain new users and save money similar to a multi level marketing system.
My findings on Pi so far:
>You don't need to register with your full name to be eligible for KYC, you will have an option >Currently the projected value of Pi is @ $0.36 on coingecko.

its a scam, they will not allow trading without KYC.
They will just require everyone give KYC and then pack their bag to sell that info

They are trying to set up a market where you buy stuff with crypto. Many other exchanges including coinbase also require KYC. Not to be too black pilling but pretty much everyone starting from your ISP and ending with a website you visit steals your data, I'm not defending it, it should be banned or you should be monetarily rewarded for them taking it. There's also the problem of defending the project from chink and jeet farms, that have been notorious with mining and will lose their mined coins if they can't KYC.

uh-oh we are getting somewhere here.

stopped reading everything else.
it seems like it's a scam, it uses your info for selling.
it advertises as a "mining" app that doesn't use power, makes you wonder about all the other "mining machines" that actual miners did with Video Cards.

Stanford University team doing research with the data they mine from your phones.

has someone tried sniffing packets on this app to see if they really mine something that is not your own info?

can you be more precises with your comments I have no idea what you're trying to say.

IT'S A JEWISH CONSPIRACY CREATED BY MATH NERDS AND LONG NOSES. DOWNLOAD IT AND YOU WILL BE ARRESTED, TRUST ME THE JEWS PLANTED CP ON MY COMPUTER TO GET ME ARRESTED BECAUSE I SKIPPED THE TITHINGS AT SYNAGOUGE, OY VEY.

it's a scam

I mean I'm open for discussion but you need to stop presenting your opinion as facts without giving evidence for them.

yeah you don't buy anything, but they're about to start showing video ads and they can sell your data. so it makes sense that they want people to refer as many people as possible even though the more people that mint these things will mean a higher supply and thus a higher amount of people selling immediately when it first becomes available (which it probably never will).

it just seems shady as fuck. i won't lie i still click it every day just in case it ever amounts to anything but i'm 99% sure it never will.

You don't have to mine it you can just buy more kleros sir that's clearly not a scam in the slightest bit. From all the shit shilled on this god forsaken board this seems to be able to do the least damage to the users that's why I shill it.

>I mean I'm open for discussion
so I am, but all the other info you posted was meaningless
can we agree in the fact that something is wrong? something is missing? I mean, being able to "mine" without using power or actual processors is weird. It ask for a lot of info, and it doesn't have a market.
how can you shill this? and yes, I'm shitting on this app to warn al the people about this

Least damage? You’re getting your data sold you fucking zoomer lmao
>$0.36 per coin
>implying those contracts are binding; legally, contractually or otherwise
Holy fuck imagine being dumb enough to do this

Listen I read the white-paper and get back to me. I'm tired of getting banned for trying to spoonfeed bizraelis, do what you will I don't really care. But stop pretending that you're an expert on crypto simply by following your hunches. The bottom line is this, if you don't invest $ you will not lose $, and if you're worried about companies stealing your data, you should stop using the internet.

nigga your isp is trading your data and charging you for it, at least I get some cents here, if they are in fact stealing the data which has not been proven yet.

Just wondering, are you Nicolas Kokkalis? or why are you shilling this scam so much?

so you've sold pi? you've actually gotten money from it? you'd be the first.
