How do I do a startup with no friends?

How do I do a startup with no friends?

I have a semi-doable SaaS idea. Don't know much coding. But I could get it done for about $500 on Upwork. That's not the issue.

But what after that, how do I find somebody to shill that stuff?

Start adverse campaigning. Once u get code on hand u need to start campaigning and with right connections u can enterprise it. Sales is key.

I am a neet
I dont have connections
I dont like phoning
And it is a B2B product, so ads are going to be super expensive

friens? 'ello?

user, you can't build a SaaS for $500. whoever told you you could...lied to you. you can hire pajeets to work for you, but they won't deliver a working product. software is not a build and forget kind of thing. it requires constant maintainence and work. you need a partner who can code to build it, but it sounds like you're just an idea guy, so you'd be useless to him.

What's the idea?

post your idea so we can make fun of that too...

Software Engineer here. I'm not even senior level and I make $50 an hour. There's no way you can make a good service from ~10 hours of work.

desu, a much better business idea than the one you're currently thinking of OP, is for you to hire someone on Upwork for $500 to build your SaaS...then document the whole thing. Blog about it or whatever...
the story of your epic failure and the shit software you end up with will drive a few ad clicks. you can't build software for $500 though unless you build it yourself.

My idea is not that complex. Very narrow, just something like exit surveys on websites. where you have one admin area, with setup/results, some code to add to the existing site and that's all.

I broke it down very narrowly by screens and exact functionality so even a pajeets could do it. Got an offer for $350 by an eastern european guy who seemed to know what he is doing.

I mean even all coding issues aside - somehow I know I can get that done. I don't care if it costs me 1k in the end. But I see the much bigger problem coming after that. Ads for b2b are super expensive, do I cold email around? But its probably going to be a $10/m kind of a product.

Get on that fucking phone and do your fucking job kid. Stop being a pussy. Contact through email as well. Linkedin.

I once tried doing that. Had to get super drunk until I finally pulled it. I am ridiculously phobic about calling unknown people.

eastern europeans produce decent work as contractors ime, certainly when compared to indians.

I'll shill for you, I've been waiting for a opportunity like this. Give me your email address and I'll message you. I've been looking for a team.

it sounds like your life is a failure, what makes you think your software won't be too?

Obviously don't give the whole idea away, but give us some information - what kind of service would that be? Who would you sell to, regular people or companies? I'm a software developer with 15 years of commercial experience and let me tell you this - if you think you can create any product for $500, you're gravely mistaken. Even a simplest dumb app like BTC price ticker would cost a lot, lot more to develop, because making it "sorta work" is 5% of the work, making it reliable, scalable, fixing bugs - that's the remaining 95%.

I'll be your fren and cold call people for you. I want 110% final offer pleasure to work with you

no he already has a deal with me fuck off

Already described above. Very specific problem/solution such as an exit survey for website or a write-a-review request after a purchase. I don't shoot for perfection, people who are going to buy it will be normie business people. So it is much more important to look good and show that it solves the basic problem.

the thing that you don't understand yet is software development is iterative. even after you build it, your clients will want you to change it for them, and you absolutely should listen to what they want so that you end up with a better market fit. you're clients should be designing the software for you to a large degree.

I am absolutely with you on that. But first there needs to be a credible version that looks like it can somewhat solve the problem in its basic form. Once there are clients who want me to adjust to their needs I would see this already as a big success of being on the right path.
