There are multiple altcoins which not only are actually solving real life problems. They also have much more potential for returns. BTC has at most a couple years left. With the halving coming up maybe it has even less.

Those "countless hours" I would have spent becoming "decently skilled at something" would have all been a waste. There is nothing that I'm interested in/skilled at that is also in anyway good at generating money. Even if there was, as soon as you make your hobby your job it immediately stops becoming a hobby and it's no longer something that you enjoy. Spending a lot of time on something that at best I don't enjoy but more likely it's something that I hate, is a complete and utter waste of time. In fact it's not even a waste of time, it's worse than that.

Because is the only decentralized coin with the oldest surviving blockchain thus safer thus attract the most money. You cannot outdo this unless you have a time machine. To prove that "your tech is better" you have to keep money safer for longer than Bitcoin, you can't do this.

Not even true. There are plenty of other centralised cryptos. Even BTC has 4 mining pools in China that have well over 51% of the hash power.

What? No you don't, and it's not like Bitcoin has any inherent capability that other cryptos do not have that somehow makes it "safer". I'm talking about TPS, settlement time, block time etc. BTC simply cannot scale and could barely manage its 2017 bullrun when barely anyone in the world had money invested in it.

And it will fail at its primary use case. The only purpose for BTC is to buy it in hope that other people will buy it for a higher price than you. It cannot scale if it met its primary use case and would be regulated out of existence if it even came close.
