She fucks asian guys btw

>She

I remember there was a girl in my college class 8 years ago that looked just like her, and she was crushing on me hard, so I had her over, and we made our for an hour, and she offered to suck my cock, but I refused cause I wanted to date her and not rush things. She never spoke to me again after that.

>250k followers for being pretty

Honestly I've heard writing covered calls is one of the better income streams.

That's a man

Nice

Honestly I've been there because I have liked a few girls a lot and then it turns out all they wanted was some fuck, so I declined.
What cruel world is this where I can sex and I can't get a girl to love me

why dont you go in the money and be forced to buy 100 shares at a god awful price that you then have to sell for cheap?

Karen, is that you?

Most of my put sells expire worthless allowing me to pocket the entire premium. If I do get assigned I'll sell calls on it immediately which puts more cash in my hands, and the cycle continues.

Doesn't selling puts carry infinite risk though

Which is why you monitor your position. If the stock moves out of the range you've set, you need to cut your losses.

I suppose thats a fair strat when doing blue chips. I think covered calls might be a bit safer though

You do both, it’s called the wheel. Sell puts on a stock you wouldn’t mind holding, if you’re assigned change over to covered calls.

Interesting. Seems like a neat strat. I'm new as fuck to options so I won't be doing this anytime soon, but seems like a solid strat to mitigate some risk

because it is immoral, betting that the market trade lower is an outright attempt to profit from other peoples misfortune.
The government should make it illegal to short the market.

Something something providing liquidity something something

no, your loss is limited because stock prices can't go below 0. Obviously you'd close your position out well before that happened, given you didn't write puts on some

You're right, I'm thinking of writing a naked call. To write a put, you basically need to keep the money available to execute it if it is assigned, right? All may be dumb questions so I'm just checking investopedia

Cuz aint short vega and aint short price.

Depends on whether the put is sold naked or cash secured. Cash secured puts have no margin requirement (you need the full amount when opening the position). Naked puts have margin requirements which (can?) vary. Check your broker, here's what mine are:

Short Naked Put
Margin
Initial/RegT End of Day Margin Stock Options 1
Put Price + Maximum ((20% 2 * Underlying Price - Out of the Money Amount),
(10% * Strike Price))

Something like a put credit spread (short put @ higher strike & long put @ lower strike) have a margin requirement of the difference of the two strikes - credit received.

Go on.

There he is. There he goes again. Look, everyone! He posted it once again! Isn't he just the funniest guy around?! Oh my God.

I can almost see your pathetic overweight frame glowing in the dark, lit by your computer screen which is the only source of light in your room, giggling like a like girl as you once again type your little "that's a man" quip. I imagine you little shit laughing so hard as you click it that you drop your Doritos on the floor, but it's ok, your mother will clean it up in the morning. Oh, that's right. Did I fail to mention? You live with your mother. You are a fat fucking fuckup, she's probably so sick of you already. So sick of having to do everything for you all goddamn day, every day, for a grown man who spends all his time on Zig Forums posting about traps. Just imagine this. She had you, and then she thought you were gonna be a scientist or an astronaut or something grand, and then you became a "that's a man" poster. A pathetic unfunny "that's a man" poster. She probably cries herself to sleep everyday thinking about how bad it is and how she wishes she could just disappear. She can't even try to talk with you because all you say is "you're a man LMAO" You've become a parody of your own self. And that's all you are. A sad little man laughing in the dark by himself as he prepares to indulge in the same old dance that he's done a million times now. And that's all you'll ever be.

cuz theta mechanics are to sophisticated for this board. Let it be a board full of LINK memes and upcoming HEX memes while the true warriors around here are actually making money out of the oil crisis and theta decay strats

Ah, makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain it user. Now the whole margin maintenance thing makes a little more sense as well, and why the classification is a big deal. I'll be staying far away until I understand the market more, but nice to see how these things fit together.

Cringe

This.
I started selling covered calls about a month ago and now I'm hesitant to take any long position on a stock I can't at least buy 100 shares of.
I bought 1000 shares of KOS for 0.93 a piece and then sold 10 Oct 16 20 C for $30 a contract - $300 total.
I made $300 off of a $930 investment instantly. Even if I get assigned I still make (2.50 - 0.93 + 0.30)*1000 = $1870 in profit for a half year investment. Like I am guaranteed to make at least 30% (my $300) and cap my max gains at 201% ($2800 - $930) for a half year investment.

Honestly seems like free money and very little risk. I saw the CEO bought 300,000 shares of KOS for 1.16 in March so I figured I'd be safe buying 1,000 at 0.93. My covered call sale also extends me additional downside protection of $0.30 per share so I don't lose money on this position on less KOS goes below $0.63 - at which point I have enough cash to buy 1000 more shares and lower my cost basis. KOS has a major project with BP that's not set to start until 2023. I'm willing to risk a couple thousand that these guys won't go bankrupt anytime between now and when that project gets started.
