Does anyone actually make money? I mean not as in wage-slaving, but starting a business, trading, creating a website, creating an app, offering a simple fiverr service or anything similar?
I'm sick of spending all my time writing code for my employer and receiving a fixed amount of money every month in exchange, with no share on the future payoff of my work.
I see sites like indiehackers and product hunt where people post stuff that they created, but I rarely see anyone actually saying how much they make and most people seem to never get anywhere.
If you find a way to make it you need to make sure others don't know about it, at least not for free. There's gotta be losers for there to be winners

I mean it's not like I'm trying to become a millionaire in 6 months or anything. All I want is to make $2000 a month selling something that I created or offering a service. Is it that hard or am I just dumb?
Nathaniel Garcia
Money exists as debt so you much put other people into debt and buy debt to become rich. The money system is not a reward for work, it is a slave system.
Joseph Scott
and it is called currency, because it only has a current, temporary, value which exists in comparison to whatever you're trying to buy. over time you lose value usually and get screwed.

Read "The Millionaire Fastlane"
It won't teach you how to make money, but it will teach you how to think in the way that will cause you to see how to make money.

Have you made money after reading that book? If so, how?

This. I just found a new trading signal (all of my own) & suddenly I'm profitable. Will spend a few weeks testing it, then gonna try to make it. Not gonna share it for the world. Anyone with an edge that agrees to sell it to you is lying.
Christopher Richardson
No he has not. Books about making money out of the force of will (millionaire mindset, hardwork positivity) are all bullshit. Wealth is rarely made, it's mostly inherited. Self-made men through entrepreneurship is mostly a myth. Read Pierre Bourdieu on social reproduction.

I do this crazy thing/biz/ hates called dollar-cost averaging VT. It works well.
But you should stick to buying triple-leveraged derivative options like the fucking idiot you are.

its pretty hard these days bud. don't get discouraged. be happy with what you got and live for the day. if you put your mind to making 2-3k a month i'm sure you will find a way. things take time

I actually have an app. Its a utility application that converts between video filetypes for iOS. Its nice to have passive income, but I make so much more with my job whereas making money on the app store is so uncertain. My first app got a lot of use and thats where I make all my money. My second one was a lot harder to develop and I probably put all told ~200 hours into it and haven’t seen a cent. It is used, but I did the math and I’d only make ~600$ a year if I put ads in it. Which to me isn’t worth the trouble when I make about 75k a year. Also protip if you ever do make money you can write off some of your purchases as business expenses even as a sole proprietor and it wont affect your standard deduction. I invest all the money I make into gaming hardware so I write off all my income its really great.
go look at the stats for how often. wealth lasts 2 generations in the US. also why the fuck are you on this board?

My ex gfs family owned a restaurant. And they would sell gum at the front counter. It was those small 5 packs that cost 5 cents when bought in bulk. They would sell them for 50 cents and people didn't give a fuck. Theyd sell hundreds of them per month because people wanted something to make their breathe smell better.
It made me realize people dont care about their money, you just need to give them a reason to spend it. Location location location.

I think you're asking, does anyone make wealth?
Any passive income you create, even if it's just from designing a neat little shop and hiring workers, is wealth.
Some ways to get started are just to ask yourself what you know more about than anyone else in the world, and start writing about it. Offer your services from your blog. Or, by attending local entrepreneurship meetups and asking to shadow some veterans.

i think the way to make money as a developer goes like >come up with a project >start working on it >once it starts shaping you try to either get the project bought by some company all go all the way and own it >creating a startup can help alot with funding and pr

Idiot doomer commie detected. You are so wrong and your inability to accept it is the reason for why you'll never make it.
