I doubt they intended to tank the price and instead decided to take their profits. The consequence was that a lot of stop-limits got triggered and the price cascaded downwards. MVIS was all hype and that outright killed it.
Reminder to always set a stop-limit for these overhyped penny stocks. They always end up dumping after the hype dies.
