Why the fuck are we buying sand nigger oil. We pump more in the usa. It's time to break the camel fuckery. Light those tankers on fire and scrub some ducks. Time to go back to work Amerifats

Yeah we should just tell those camel fuckers and other foreigners we're good and just use our own supply.

OPEC is the Original Sin of the petrodollar and we're stuck with it

My body is ready, and my heavy breathing is totally just in imagination for how hard I would have to work and how exhausting that is. Totally.

It is a tough job, but to realize our dreams we all have to make sacrifices. Even if I have to kneel down on the ground to get a good angle, or thoroughly inspect their condition with all my senses, it is the health and safety of my crew members I am responsible for of course! I suppose I also have to confiscate any code violations to my Captain's Quarters.

You are way too lewd user....but I also like flip flops, so glad we agree there.

We print our way out of debt, fuck that Petro shit.

was replying to on old thread, thought i'd post here.

Your div yields are kinda fucked up, check nasdaq for better results and historical data. Also, technically you can't calculate what they're gonna be for the future because we don't actually know what's going to happen, tankers are super volatile so divvies aren't predictable. However, I'm certain you're correct in assuming the div yield will be those percents or higher.

>"For the first quarter of 2020, the Company [DHT] will return $51.4 million to shareholders in the form of a cash dividend of $0.35 per share, payable on May 26, 2020 to shareholders of record as of May 19, 2020."

Let's get theoretical for a moment (These quarterly divs are complete bullshit by the way, i'm just making guestimations):

>Q1 Div: 0.36 confirmed
>Q2 Div: ~0.70?
>Q3 Div: ~0.40
>Q4 Div: ~0.20

Assuming you buy in at 6.62, by the end of Q4 your div yield [DHT] is 25.07% plus whatever growth. Thats fucking nuts!

Let's check $FRO.

>Q4 19 0.40 confirmed
>Q1 0.45 (assuming the div is like DHT)
>Q2 ~0.90
>Q3 0.40
>Q4 0.20

24.80% div yield if you bought in at 7.89 for $FRO!!!!

This is why I hate arguing with bears on this sector. Call me an optimistic retard but the upside is astronomical with share prices this low. I mean, the time charters have literally already been locked in! These tankers are in contract so there is no risk of collapse, and the company is already generating money into Q2. To top it all off, tanker analysts think that I might even be lowballing the quarterly dividends. If you buy in now you're literally guaranteed 1.6x in cash the amount of shares you bought, and that's the minimum. It could easily be 2x, maybe even more with growth factored in. AND we're trading 0.6x the net asset value for stocks like $STNG. I don't even know what to say anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I hodl through all 4 quarters I'm making 6k on divvies alone. That's fucking ridiculous. Fuck the risk, the fundamentals are there and I've done the research. I am going down with the ship and that's final.

THREADLY REMINDER

I see now. Thanks.
How much do you own?

Well user, when you make your millions on your tanker stocks, I just hope you'll invite me out to cruise for a day, and to meet your crew.

But this scenario requires I hold for 4 years before I actually make any profit and that assumes the dividends make tge same amount every year and stock price remains unchanged.

My positions have been pretty liquid but I plan on having 2k shares on FRO, 1k on DHT, 300 on STNG, and 500 on EURN. Again, Im only at about half of this portfolio but I'll be buying in more in tomorrow, just trying to get a good cost avg in case of spikes or downtrends.

If the stock crabs, you just write monthly covered calls you dumbass. At 0.80 to 1.00 a call, you make the money back within the year.

that's 1 year. Those are quarterly earnings I posted, the total is annual div.

Damn I'm only holding a couple hundred in FRO and DHT. Honestly tempted to sell some other stuff and load up.
Are EURN and STNG that good? I think STNG is Greek or operates in that area so they're supposed to be pretty solid, I don't know much about EURN other than that they are hinting at some real strong performance.

Well. I owe you for all the lewding, so. I suppose you can take a vacation on a cruise with me when you want. I will tell my crew to treat any guests with ample hospitality!

STNG has largest fleet and they're working on scrubbers as well as paying back debt, again this is great because IMO2020 fucked ship fuel prices. Calvin Coeledge or whoever the fuck on Twitter says EURN is the best and I'm kind of taking that at face value (I read the 10k and they looked solid).

If the stock price stays the same or drops like a quarter in a year you still make profit? You break even if the price of the stock drops 25% or more in one year, and even up til that point you can sell OTM covered calls.

FRO's got me feeling dirty
Might buy 100 shares tomorrow depending on the price

Isn’t stings share price weighed down by huge leverage?

What happens when they can’t refinance at record low interest rates or refinance at all?

I’ve been bagholding stng for 6+ years and listened to most earnings calls, they shill the empty order book year after year but it never affects the rates like they say.

Giant cup and handle forming?

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO TANKER KEKS HAVE A /COPE/ GENERAL youtube.com/watch?v=mVza-NFH2hg

My optimism is short term especially for $STNG, but you have to admit they're deleveraging tremendously right now while they've got cash flow. Again, I'm only holding 500 shares because if the tanker market turns bad they would probably go bankrupt

Nobody is holding NAT retard.

>1000 shares
Damn I'm jelly

>reading that first education link
very boring stuff guys..

the pleb filter works. excellent

>taking stock advice from a poo

LMAO the whole argument for that video was "it's basically priced in :/" and of course he was talking about $NAT. I love inversing Instagram normies especially now when they all lost to paper hands.

sounds like the maker of this video is coping from having sold the bottom.

Can anyone explain what factors caused the oil tanker bull market from 2000-2020? What caused it's decline? It makes you wonder if we're in for a bull market again.
