But Chainlink has a lot more traction within Tezos than OrO.

Smartpy got a grant from the Tezos foundation to integrate Chainlink and Oro did not. That should tell you who they prefer. Also, they need to start actually building useful shit on Tezos and can't wait on some no name oracle solution from a developer with no oracle experience to take years to build a half ass solution. Chainlink is light years ahead and any sane ecosystem realizes it.

OrO is not even complete yet. LINK has 3 years. Writing a chainlink adapter takes a weekend worth of work. Meanwhile, OrO is going to be a revolution showing in house oracle solutions can be used and be more cost effective.
